I'm preparing auctions and my preferences and item title and BIN price, shipping price and HTML are changing before my eyes. It is changing to things I never typed, so I know it is not a matter of not refreshing the page.

I'm going to shut down and run a virus check, but I suggest AW do a diagnostic or something to see if the site has been hacked. I'm also going to change my password.

Hi misscandle,

That is very strange. We will be sure to pay attention to this matter to see if anyone else has been affected.

I have noticed something odd too. I don't know if or how it may be related.

I have always been able to check off check boxes and click a link to go elsewhere and then use my back button to return and find the same check boxes still checked so I am able to use them again. For example I could check all the people in PSM that I wanted to send out Feedback reminders to and once I sent the reminders out I could back button a couple of times and with those same people's check boxes still checked I could then delete those listings or whatever.

In the past couple of days I have noticed that when I back button I find that different check boxes and sometimes fewer or sometimes more check boxes are checked. Now I have to pay attention to this.

I have not said anything until this thread because I know this would normally be my browser (IE 6) not refreshing the page or being told to by the web site and in fact some web sites use a HTML tag that forces my browser to refresh (there is a term for this not refreshing but I forget) so any change in this "feature" though convenient to me is simply subject to being affected by your normal site revisions that happen to affect it.

However, I don't recall getting *different* information when using my back button anywhere else, so I mention this in case it gives you a clue to some other problem.
And note that my situation is not one of things changing while I sit and watch, only when back buttoning back to a prior page.

Meanwhile, I'll be running a virus check.

Callie:

I'm going to shut down for a few hours and do a full virus scan.

The problem occurs after I do a Quick Preview and then hit Return to go back to edit my pending auction.

It changes things like the amount of my shipping charges, puts the title of the auction where the BIN price goes, puts the BIN price where the title goes, changes the locations where I will ship to, erases my category choice, changes the length of the auction, changes the template.

So...either your computers have a problem, or my computer has a problem....or, God doesn't want me to list today. I'm open to all these possibilities. How about you check your side, I'll run the virus scan here...and, I'll pray for guidance.

Aloha...I'll check back with you in a few hours.

Hi Misscandle and Dean,

Thanks for the information.

misscande,

I did just as you said with one of your pending auctions, but nothing changed when I clicked on the return button at the bottom of the Quick Preview page.

OK, I just tried it again and reconfirmed to myself that the items checked do change at random.

My problem is that when I want to send out FB reminders, I need to look at the post sale keys (PSKs ) to see which ones I have marked as "shipment received" by looking for the #8 key being blue.

There is no "Send FB Reminder" button on the main PSM screen that shows the PSKs and there are no PSKs on the "Awaiting FB" screen that does have a "Send FB Reminder" button. I think all the other buttons are on the main screen that shows the PSKs so I don't know why the "Send FB Reminder" button is missing.

See where I am going? I need the correct boxes stay checked after I check them and click the "Awaiting FB" link to remind me which ones to mark on that screen and I often have to back button and forward button a couple of times before I get all the correct ones checked on the "Awaiting FB" screen.

That is the reason I recently made a request to have the "Send FB Reminder" button added to the PSM screen that shows the PSKs. Or add the PSK's to all the PSM screens. Make sense?

Just my opinion - but I could be right.

My system checked out okay.

I just prepared three auctions and it went fine. Hmmm...the theory of Divine Intervention is looking good.

Still, you might want to be on the alert. Trust no one.

Hello Dean,

We'll have to test the problem you have outlined. At this point, we recommend that you do not use your back button as this back button will supposedly bring you to the previous page and should not carry over any new information that you have added on to your account. If for some reason that it would carry over several check marks, this cannot be guaranteed correct information. I will consult with engineering as to why this behaviour is happening.
