About every fifth new lising I create I get 'Not the Owner' on the confirmation page. I use the back button and all my info is gone. I retype evrything, schedule launch and bingo it's fine. A bit annoying though since I am doing similar items and much of my text is repetative. Owner of what, anyway?? Suggestions???

Hi paramount,

This may be happening if you are using the back button to create multiple auctions instead of clicking on create listing each time. If you are creating a few auctions that are very similar, you will want to use the copy function in pending to start the next auction instead of the back button.

That worked fine once. Now it removes the previous scheduled item and replaces it with the most recent one. Is there a reason that suddenly I am no longer able to do these the way I have been since 1999???

Hi paramount,

Please walk me through the steps you are taking to create three similar auctions in auction manager so that I can try to replicate this problem.

I select site (ebay) fill in all the info and get 'Not the Owner' instead of a schedule time and title. You told me to copy an auction and go from there. I did that. I make the changes, get a confirmation, back up and make changes again, get another confirmation. By the time I was done I had created two new listings. The first and last. None of the others, which I was given confirmations for, appeared in 'pending'. I've gone back and just had to type out each one from scratch.

Hi paramount,

I think the problem lies in your use of the browser back button - the system does not register this as a new listing.

I am assuming this is what you meant by "I make the changes, get a confirmation, back up and make changes again."

If you want to create a new auction, you must either click on create listing or copy from active or pending (each time you want a new auction).

Hope this helps!

Callie

The same thing has happened to OPM. I do between 10 to 22 auctions a day. This morning when I viewed my auction's in preview mode and hit the return button i got not the owner and also the screen that says creat new auction. When I hit my back button i got a reapeated message the same thing happened again. I had to double click the back button got my auction back since i did not save the auction if i did not hit the back button repeadetly i would of lost all my info since i do alot of auctions i dont have the time to save and then copy takes up to much time. There seems to be a glitch. Besides this problem auction watch is the greatest. Kindest regards, OPM

Hello OPMtradingpost,

Are you using the quick preview or the Ebay preview?
Here are the steps I took and I could not replicate the "not the owner" message you are reporting
-create an auction
-click on the "quick preview" button
-click on the "return" button at the bottom of the page

I also tested this by clicking on the browser's back button instead of the return button and did not get the error message.

Can you kindly provide us with an example auction title in your pending list where this happens and outline the exact steps you are taking so that we can test and submit this information to engineering.

Hello everyone

Here are the steps I do.
A) I click on create listing
1) After title is done
2) After Descript. is done
3) After images are loaded
4) After catagory is done
5) After image is picked for listing on ebay
6) After confirmation is picked
I Click on Quick Preview (not ebay preview) to see in a different perspective to see what the listing will look like
7) Then after I am done looking I hit the return button (if you use your back button if you copy and paste a template (note pad word ect.) you will get what you just pasted in not your new infomation you just got done doing) I get a screen that asks create new listing (not my listing) with the logos like when you first start out (were you click ebay or yahoo ect.) (when you click on create listing) and also i get the not the owner sometimes too

I have had to click my back button alot to get my listing back now yesterday i could not retrieve my info and lost all info. Today the second listing i did this happened but i did not loose info.

God bless the U.S.A
Kindest regards, Jason King

Hi Jason,

I went through the steps that you listed in my own account and was unable to replicate this problem. Are you getting this with the auctions in pending that aren't scheduled for launch?
