I've been using AW to schedule auctions with ebay for 1 1/2 years and have noticed a significant change to the amount of time it takes for the auction listing feature to load. Previously, when I clicked on "create auction" it took just a few seconds for the form to load. Now, it takes an average of 70 seconds for the form to load. Seems the change coincided with the new template feature. Is anyone else having this problem? I have a DSL line so the time to load seems unnecessarily long. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Hi Wryly,
You could try clearing your browser cache to see if this improves the loading time. If it does not, please let me know.

Hi Ritadread,
Most likely the problem has to do with the number of closed auctions you have, since you have over 1000. Have you tried relisting one by one?

Most likely the problem has to do with the number of Advertisements & Graphics on each page. They slow the pages down considerably.

I tried cleaning out the cache and that didn't effect the load time - still about 1 minute. Do you think it has anything to do with the new templates? That's when it started getting real slow. I don't use a template. Would it possibly load faster if I did? Thank you.

Hello,
I don't think it has anything to do with the templates we released some time back, we are not getting other reports of an error relating to specifically the load time of the create auction page.
You mention it happens when you click the create auction link, that next page is the one that asks which site you want to list to - that is the page taking so long to load, or only after you select eBay and then click to continue on?
If it is the latter, what if you select another site like Yahoo - which doesn't have templates available to choose from, does it load just as long?
Christopher

It's the page after selecting ebay as the site that takes so long. I tried selecting Yahoo but I'm not registered and got an error when trying to register. But, I found a work-around. I typically use Netscape. I tried Internet Explorer instead and the page after selecting ebay as the site venue loads within seconds. Obviously, it's Netscape causing the delay. I downloaded 6.1 but don't like the appearance. I'll just continue using Explorer to schedule auctions from now on. Thanks for the advice!

Me too. I have 15 items to put in my storefront and everything was running smoothly until I got down to the last 3 items and now the pages are timing out and giving errors about "Page cannot be displayed" and even when a page does come up it takes forever. If it was us, why would page load time be normal and then all of a sudden be so slow? Please look into this issue rather than passing the blame to the users.
By the way, I am using Internet Explorer (the most recent version) and even loading pages on the message boards is taking a really long time.

Same problem here. Been trying to run some auctions this morning. Pictures wont upload, they time out. Even in this message center, it took a while for it to load. The entire site is running slowly this morning.
