All of my 100 auctions won't launch - error reading "my location has longer than 45 characters". What the heck is this??!! The duplicate auctions did launch in my other identity of Criterion1.
If it is the photo location, I saw your comment to someone else that they should shorten their URLs. YOU shorten the URL. Most of the URL is taken up with your requirement. The title of my pix is nominal.
I have 108 auctions pending that represent over $2,000 minimum. Do you feel you can handle this?

gotabook, I find it an amazing coincidence that this occurs right after the introduction of new software (Busniess Edition.)
I don't doubt they are working on the problem but they should have the courtesy of telling you that so you aren't left in limbo.

Hi All,
The eBay API, which we are now using to launch auctions, limits the number of characters allowed in this field to 45.
You will be able to launch and preview if you reduce the number of characters in this field to 45 or less.

Hi Gotabook,
You will need to shorten or remove the URL that you have placed in the city, state field on your auctions. eBay has limited this field to 45 characters.
The API allows us to send and receive data from eBay through a direct interface rather than using their public web site interface.

Hi Gotabook,
This error is not associated with the location error that people are getting. I have reported this and our engineering team is looking at it. I will let you know when it has been resolved.

""The following message was returned from the scheduler while attempting to list your auction:

If this error message does not provide enough information regarding the source of the auction error, you may preview the auction insertion. Otherwise you may edit the auction information or attempt to schedule the auction again.""

Hi Gotabook,
Can I attempt to launch an auction from my end? I may be able to find out what is happening that way. I am also still waiting to hear back from engineering.

Hi Gotabook,
I noticed that you have some JavaScript in your item description. This may be the culprit. Now that we have implemented the API with eBay, the JavaScript standards may be higher. Try to remove the Javascript and see if it launches.

Hi Gotabook,
I was able to successfully do the eBay preview on your auctions -- when you can use the eBay preview, your auction should launch. Please try to launch the auctions again and let me know if you get the xml error again.
To obtain the code which contains a link to your image, first go to your Image Hosting page within Auction Manager. From there, check the box next to each image that you wish to attach to your auction. On the bottom of the page, click the "attach" button. Verify the image and click on "continue". On the next page, copy and paste the entire block of HTML which includes your image URL as well as our banner (a requirement) into the description box of the auction listing form over at eBay.

Hi Gotabook,
I just did eBay preview for all three of your auctions in pending auctions, and they all come up with the "click to enlarge" link to the original image. What are you getting the error on?
