I de-selected "offline credit card" acceptance quite awhile ago!!! But IT IS STILL SHOWING AS A PAYMENT OPTION IN THE WBNS!!! Not in all of them though - just to make it interesting: Here's an example just today:

#1291827183:
c2it(sm) by Citibank (or AOL QuickCash)
ID: XXX
PayPal ID: xxx
Yahoo! PayDirect
Amazon 1-click
Billpoint
» Credit Card Payment (HERE IT IS)
Offline Manual Processing
PLLLLLLEASE DON'T TELL ME I DIDN'T DE-SELECT THIS OPTION!!! I JUST NOW DOUBLE CHECKED IN "GLOBAL PREFERENCES" AND IT INDEED HAD BEEN DE-SELECTED!!!
PLEASE ADVISE IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS BECOMING A NIGHTMARE AND MY BIDDERS THINK I'M A COMPLETE IDIOT NOW!!

Hi Biffette,

I have placed a copy of that auction in your pending section. This is how the auction looked when you launched it and the offline credit card selection is checked.

Yes, Brian, I see it is indeed checked. HOWEVER, if you select "Manage Account Options" from that same page, you'll see that it is NOT selected - in "GLOBAL PREFERENCES"!!! Are you telling me that "Global.." is NOT global? What EXACTLY DOES change when you de-select options in "Global.."?
I re-list/copy many many auctions, so it is very possible these auctions have been around since BEFORE I de-selected the option in "Global..", but isn't that what "Global.." is for? If not, what is it for? And also, if not, I think ALOT of AW members will be surprised and shocked at this and will spend quite a lot of time going thru each and every auction they have not only in Inventory but in Closed, etc where they might list, re-list or copy AFTER they did a change in "Global.."!!!PLEASE ADVISE!!

Hi Biffette,

Was this option selected when that auction was launched? If you changed global preferences and you had active auctions, chances are that is why they were displaying that information. If any auctions you launch now contain that option, please post and let me know, since you no longer have it selected it should not appear.

It is my experience that AW frequently "throws a shoe" and options become checked or unchecked without reason or user implementation. While there is no real excuse for this happening, I nonetheless do a quick review of Global Preferences prior to bulk uploads and have found that while it should be an unnecessary waste of my time, I have caught many inappropriate selections and saved some grief.

Hi Sonya,
I changed the option in Global's about 2 weeks ago. Any and all auctions that were launched before the change have all ended quite a while ago.
The ones that are showing it still selected I've launched since the change.

Hi Biffette,

When you are relisting an auction it will relist it exactly how it was originally listed. For example, if you had the credit card option checked and you took it off after the auction ended in Global Preferences, then relaunched that auction, you need to check and make sure that it is deselected for the relist. Changing your preferences only applies to new auctions. Was this auction originally launched prior to the change?
