So when someone uses AW to submit an auction with check-out, ebay will automatically insert their phone number into the check-out form?

Hi Greatlakes,
If you edit your payment address under My Ebay, that is the information that eBay will give your buyers. The phone number is optional -- if you don't enter it then eBay won't provide it. You can find it under my ebay -> preferences/set up -> edit my payment address.
