I HAVE HAD TWO CUSTOMERS TODAY INDICATE THAT THEY ARE BEING CHARGED HUGE TAX AMOUNTS WITH THE TOTAL AMOUNT THAT SHOWS THEY OWE. THESE CUSTOMERS ARE NOT EVEN IN MY STATE, AND DON'T OWE ANY TAXES. I KNOW THAT WE PUT IN THE TAX INFORMATION FOR OUR CUSTOMERS, BUT I HAVE NO INFORMATION INDICATED IN THAT FIELD.
HERE IS ONE OF THE ITEM NUMBERS, PLEASE CHECK IT OUT.

Hi digitalbruce,
The main error seems to be that the sales tax box was presented at all. When it is, the % of tax is blank allowing the buyer to manually enter in what the sales tax should be.
In this case, it appear the buyer confused the form and entered something close to the shipping amount into the tax calculator. When they went to check out the calculator added it and the actual shipping to the total.
We will forward this along to engineering to look into further. Did you have the tax box unchecked before, and checked it again recently so no tax information would be presented to anyone?
(One hour left, and I will hopefuly be the high bidder on one of your items. My fingers are crossed!)

Hi Christopher,
Thanks for the information. Yes, in fact I just checked that box as I did not want any of the winners from tonights closing auctions getting confused. I think you are correct, probably just a little confusion on the customers part.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE AUCION I hope you win it!
