i want to add the option of VISA/MASTERCARD to my payment methods at ebay but when i go to preferences, i can't find a way to do it. when i check the visa/mastercard box and then try to save, i'm told to;
>>Select at least one credit card processing method if you want to accept credit cards
but the only methods available to choose from are verisign or direct. since i use paypal, neither of these is appropriate. please advise. thanks

Hi Suze,
If you want to accept credit cards then you will need to choose how to process those charges. If you accept PayPal you will need to select PayPal. Accepting credit cards is not the same as accepting PayPal.

brian, i appreciate the reply BUT as i said in the previous post, in the preferences section, PAYPAL IS NOT GIVEN AS AN OPTION FOR METHOD OF PROCESSING.
your preferences sections do not accurately duplicate the ebay listing form and options i can choose on that form are not available to me under yours!
and since paypal IS a credit card processing service, and the one i choose to use, i should be able to click on the box for VISA/MASTERCARD without any further stipulation that isn't required by ebay's form.
just because you're pushing your flavor of the week credit card services shouldn't limit my ability to indicate accurately my personal choice on the listing form just because it doesn't agree with yours. i'm PAYING for your service and yet you are limiting my choices to your own.

Hi Suze,
Yes, I see your point. I will pass along the suggestion. PayPal includes the VISA and Mastercard logo's when they insert their logo into auctions, but it still doesn't list credit cards at the top of the listing. Maybe we can add PayPal as a processing option so it will appear in the auction header. I will definitely pass this along.
