That is correct, if the auction is missing entirely from your account there is no way the WBN even could go out. Here the fault being the item not tracking correctly into your account when you listed it.
When we first released our support to the eBay API program, there was an error causing some auctions to not track properly into the control panel, which we quickly worked with eBay on to correct and did so at that time.
Unfortunately, if someone left you negative feedback as a result of it there is nothing that can be done to correct that since we have no control over your feedback rating at eBay. We apologize for the situation, and assure you we will continue taking steps to make sure any issues such as are avoided or corrected as quickly as they possibly can be.

Ive had that happen to two listings but not on AW. Has something to do with an ebay indexing glitch when you do bulk listing. You can find it by clicking View sellers other auctions and count your listings - to fix it just do an "add to description" at ebay and it updates almost right away Customer svc there takes forever.
