I have a question. If the WBN is taking a really long time to launch, and we go in and manually launch it, will it launch another one later when it finally gets around to it?
If you go in and manually click to send out the WBN, the system is already processing yours and will send another automatically. There is no way to stop the automatic one once the item reaches your closed section.
Your WBN will be sent out, and there should only be a somewhat short delay at this time.

My last report for tonight...
Three of eight WBNs have been delivered after a 3-hour delay. All auctions closed within a minute of each other, but WBN deliveries arrive in dribs and drabs.
Well heck, I've been here before. WBNs always seem to come through. But that doesn't mean I'm NOT paranoid. (cough)

HI shelfdust,
Can you give us the auction IDs for the 3 auctions that closed within the same minute but sent WBNs within 3 hours? It would surely help our engineers locate the problem.

Hi Mike,
I have just looked for the itemsID you sent: inded a 2h50min delay between the close time and the time when the WBN was sent. I will forward our engineers the complaint, together with the item IDs. Regarading the item that did not sent any WBN, is has sent now (with a liitle help...)

Thanks for the help, Marius.
I didn't get copied on the WBN you booted out the door for me, so I'll have to assume it's on its way to the buyer.
Noticed some problems on the backbones today, so maybe email is hung up on the net somewhere. Having some trouble pinging and tracerouting some servers on the west coast. Looks like a UUnet router is hosed.

Uhuh, I'm back again. Similar WBN latency problem this Sunday. The flow started trickling about 40 minutes after auctions closed. Two of 13 have been sent... 10 minutes later I'm up to 6 of 13. In the end it took almost an hour for all WBNs.
Question: Will this WBN latency problem be one of the targets for the Feb 8th downtime and upgrade? I sure hope so. I spend too much time auditing AW's performance when I should be taking care of business.
