I am having problems with my aol customers not getting their WBN. They keep asking for payment info, and every time it is an aol user. Is there a problem? If so, is there a way to work around this? It is a real pain and very time consuming to have to check through Post Sale, and send WBN manually to each one. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks....Gloria
I noticed you are using the Express format for your WBNs. AOL does not accept HTML in their emails which is why it is your AOL users asking for payment information -- they are unable to fill out the form that they receive in their email. To prevent this from happening, try switching to Classic format.

HI Sonya ~ Thanks a bunch for such a prompt reply! I have switched to Classic, and we'll see how that works. Guess it pays to ask! Thanks again...Gloria

Hi, couldn't help noticing that you are having the same problem with the AOL customers. Yes, it sure is a pain. What we have had to do is send a separate email thru our Outlook.
What we do is fill out the form for them and view the response and cut and paste into our Outlook email and send.
We us the original WBN, we didn't know their was an Express. So what we are saying is that your AOL customers still won't be receiving your WBN's.
We have posted many times this problem and never get a resolution! Customers are getting ANGRY and we are losing SALES. We even go as far as sending notices thru EBAY. So we send out WBN's, EMAILS, PAYMENT REMINDERS THRU EBAY FOR EACH AOL CUSTOMER.
Here we think that they have gotten all the information. We recently got a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK saying that they never got an address. So therefore, we never got paid from an auction ending in 11/9/01 and we were still trying to collect payment all the way into January 2002, ugh!
Hope you have better luck!

Hi Dimento,
AOL users can use the Classic format -- it was the Express format they were unable to fill out. Please let me know if you are still having trouble, because you shouldn't have to send out so many notices.

Hi Dimento,
Do you have any active examples of this problem? If you do, let me know the auction ID numbers so that we can look into it further. We have many people that are able to successfully complete post sales with AOL winners so hopefully we can get this problem solved for you.
I would recommend filing the NPB and FVF for the auctions especially if it has been a long time since you heard from the winners (like with your first auction).

MY PROBLEM IS WORSE...AND I NEED HELP!! I have auctions close (non-AOL users) and they never go to POST SALE!! Yesterday this occurred with 6!! of my 9 auctions! They simply disappear. I search by item, or user email...and it's GONE!!! I am trying to sell my partner on AW - but this is insane!! Almost grounds for a lawsuit! THe program is not providing one of the basic features it claims to provide.
Regarding the AOL WBN issue, if your AOL customers are not receiving the WBNs, it could be that they have are filtering their email and the AuctionWatch email is ending up in a "bulk mail" folder. Are all AOL customers not receiving the WBN? I'm concerned that the AOL system may be filtering the emails.
agreatcatch,
Did you by any chance revise the live auctions and remove the reserve price of the auctions that are not appearing in your closed section? There is an issue with this recent change that eBay made, which may cause our system to think that the auctions closed without a winner. We are working on correcting this now, but it is a difficult "fix" because of API issues.
