The following message was issued for an item that is in my Pending list in error:

Unknown launch error.
We were unable to verify the launch of your auction at ebay. It is possible that your auction did launch, so we suggest that you check the auction venue directly to verify before attempting another launch.

Well, the listing is actually on eBay now.

Question: What do you have to do to get it into my Active list?

Hi Kahml,
The first thing I'd do is get it deleted from pending before it tries to launch again. The only way I know to get it into active is to track it in. Maybe when Sonya gets in tomorrow morning she might know another way. If you do track it in, be sure to check your statement. The system may see it as a foreign listing and try to charge you an image hosting fee.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Nah, once it's in error, it won't attempt to launch - there's no date/time associated with it.

And, yeah, I don't want the hassle of having 6 image hosting fees tacked on and then have to ask for a refund.

It's AW's problem - I'll wait till they figure it out...

Hi kahml,

You can track that auction in to get it to your Active Panel. This seems to be an API-related error. Let us know if this happens again.

Couldn't retrieve site preview!
Unfortunately, we were unable to retrieve a preview from at this time. You may not want to schedule this auction yet; we are apparently having difficulties communicating with this site.

Brian, there are 7 images in that auction.

If I track it in, am I going to be charged the $0.34 image hosting fees?

Because then, I'm only going to have to wait the charges to appear in my account and ask for a refund. And then, I'm going to have to wait three weeks to get it. Which is really not a pleasant way to treat someone who's still pissed off about what happened yesterday.

Why can't you - or someone in tech support - update the entry to the correct status?

Thanks!

Hi Kahml,

Unfortunately, the only solution is to track it in, and then you will get the image charges for which you will have to ask for a refund. I wish I could be of better help to you but unfortunately that is the only way to go here as this error is related to the events of yesterday and Friday.

Am I going to be able to use PSM on this auction if I track it in? Because if I can't, it is not worth the effort.

Hi Kahml,

I'm actually not sure about that -- I am unable to find out as I don't have an example to test this on. I'm pretty positive they will come up for you.

Well at least we now know that the counters don't work. That column says "N/A"

But the listing's color is the same as all of the other items that I launched via AW, so who knows....

Could someone please check on this today?

>> Will this listing go into PSM?

>> Why aren't the counters tracking (it says N/A)?

>> The item is still in Pending (although someone cleared the error status). If I delete it, am I going to loose all trace of this listing?

Thanks!

Hi Kahml,

I have checked on this for you -- you will be able to use the PSM keys for the auction if you import it back into your control panel. Because you will have to import it in, the counter will not work, and you will also be assessed the image fees for that auction. Regarding the one in pending -- if you delete it and you want to relist the item in the future, you are going to have to reenter in all the information. I would recommend saving it to inventory first, and then deleting it if you want it out of your pending list entirely.
