ebay just shut down all my auctions, due to:

============
"your listings were in violation of eBay's policies. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what parts of your listings are not permitted.

Your listings contained the following information:

"Please visit my storefront" links to a gallery site that offers items for sale not listed on eBay
=============

Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

I see eBay has the policy not allowing:

"links to sites offering the same merchandise for the same or lower price (than the price set in the eBay listing)"

So, from the way I read that, we can't post things to our storefront...unless it's price is higher? than what we're selling it for on eBay? But that doesn't make sense. On a storefront we sell stuff for a fixed price. On an auction, that's not the case.

Help!!

Hi Ff11,

Our Storefronts are within eBay regulations because of the "2-click" rule. No link on eBay can link with 1-click directly to competing items. Unfortunately since you had a link to your storefront in your description that depicted items sold on Yahoo or Amazon on the first click, ebay cancelled your auctions. We have worked with eBay to solve this issue by making the banner on eBay link to your Storefront Home Page which contains ONLY eBay items.

If you would like to keep that link within your description, here is the URL that you should use for your storefront:

Are you telling me that that link you just provided me with, will only show people the eBay items in my storefront? As well as my non-ebay store items.....but not amazon or yahoo?

If so, that's way cool. Let me know....

Hello,

That is correct, this link will take users to your storefront and only show eBay items at first. Once on your storefront, users can then click to view other items by category on the left which will show all items regardless if listed to eBay or not.

And this is all fine and dandy with eBay, right? I'm just trying to get this perfectly clear, since them shutting down all my auction is a major, major pain.

In a nutshell, if I use that link you gave me...I'm good-to-go. eh?

Hi ff11,

Yes, if you use that link your auctions will be in compliance at eBay.
