Why does it take so long for WBN to go out after the auctions close. I had my auctions end an hour ago and the WBN still haven't gone out??

Hi Corksmom,
Sunday nights are the busiest nights for auctions -- however if you took advantage of our Mailstep promotion you will notice an increase in the amount of time it takes for WBNs to go out to your winners.

I guess I don't understand what using your mail step program has to do with the speed at which the WBN goes out after a normally closed auction. You already have all of the information in your system - proof being it shows as a closed auction and it shows as a WBN waiting to send. Where does the mailstep program come into play here? I have enough problems getting these things out - that I am not going to redirect my email thru you too - who knows where or when that will show up. Unless, you can explain to me the difference it makes and how in the world it can be beneficial to me. I already deal with the slow WBN after buy it nows - but am willing to deal with that. WBN were not always so slow. Used to be they would go out within minutes of the auctions end - and I have always ended my auctions on Sunday. I am tired of hearing everything is slow on Sunday's because we are so busy - Ebay is busy that night also - and they seem to be able to handle the extra load. Sorry to go off on a tangent here - but when a question is asked - I always hear it is because Sunday is so busy. Please explain to me how AW plans on upgrading to handle the busy Sunday's so that I can leave me email the way it is - I don't need a bunch of lost emails - because suddenly AW mailstep program is so busy.

Hi Corksmom,
Mailstep allows AuctionWatch to use the eBay end of auction notice that is automatically sent to you as the seller to trigger WBN delivery to your buyer and control panel update. Mail Relay is easy to set up and use. To activate, all you would need to do is simply update the email address on file at eBay with a new address supplied by AuctionWatch. eBay generated mail is then sent directly to a secure mail server at AuctionWatch that checks for end of auction notices while forwarding all received mail to your email address on file with AuctionWatch. If the mail contains an end of auction notice, AuctionWatch will use the data to trigger WBN delivery and Control Panel update.
Mail Relay is both secure and fast. The AuctionWatch Mail Relay system does not store any email after it is safely delivered to you. We understand that customer and eBay communication is very important to you, which is why we built this highly available, secure system to seamlessly deliver email with no changes to your current process.
That is why in the case of Sunday nights, using this feature would be beneficial to you.

Thanks for the reply!!!
I am not yet 100% convinced - and thus think the best thing for me is to turn the automatic WBN off and trigger them myself. Not the ideal situation - but one I can live with for now - and hopefully you will get it set up eventually to trigger the WBN's immediately or within minutes - like it used to!!!!!
