Hi,
Im trying to use auction manager with the new features,
Im trying to mark my itmes as paid but I cant because of the warning:

Couldn't mark item as paid as long as WBN response wasn't marked as received

I dont know if you know this but I never get people to enter or return the WBN, and Im sure other peple dont either,
I want to turn off this default setting NOW because it is slowing me down.
I just want to mark the item as paid is that too much to ask???

Hi Rostaf,

In order to mark step 3 (paid) you have to receive payment from your buyer, that is item price, and shipping amount. As shipping is selected by buyer during WBN response (step 2), you cannot mark the item/order as paid unless step 2 is also checked. What you can do:
- send WBN to buyer, and wait for response.
- if you have a response from buyer, but not via WBN response, you may edit step 2 and enter all the required information.

This is not adequate - many times buyers just email me their address. I know they emailed it to me, so I just check off step 2. Now, you're telling me I have to manually input the address? Forget that!

In the past, I have used the Post Sale Keys as a way to track my closed auctions, but that doesn't mean I necessarily put buyers through the system - if they call me and want to just give me their address and credit card info over the phone, I take it down, ship the order out, and just check off the appropriate keys.

Once again, you all have introduced a feature that negatively affects the way I work. I think the new features may be great, but don't force us to fit into the way you expect us to work!

I totally agree that this is a negative change. I use the #3 box to indicate when a buyer has paid me--just as that box is intended for! As AW well knows, many buyers do not use the form to respond and so box #2 does not get checked off. Half the time they don't use the form because it doesn't even WORK! Many buyers just send in their payment without replying to the WBN or else they just send in their Paypal payment immediately. I need to know that an auction has been paid for, and I can't do so if you don't allow me to check off box #3 manusally! Please return that function!

Yeah, same here!

I just want to click it "done" - in some cases, I don't have all of the information at hand, but I know that it has been answered.

Also, I just took a look at the new form.

You folks have got to go back to reconsidering the basics. It's >supposed< to be simple to fill out. This looks like an IRS form.

If there was a poor response rate before, it's going to drop to nothing now.

I hate it. It is causing more work and wasted time. I think I'll start searching for another post sale management tool

"if you have a response from buyer, but not via WBN response, you may edit step 2 and enter all the required information"

Marius....this is absolutely ridiculous! I am also trying to mark many of auctions paid this morning and am uable to do so! Most (70%+) of my buyers DO NOT fill out the WBN response form and I certainly should not have to take the time to fill in the blanks.

Please check with whomever and advise WHEN there will be a fix for this problem.

Thanks.....Russ

I agree that sometimes it is easier to just click the number 2 option. If someone comes to the store and picks up the item, there is no need to fill in the address, but the box still needs check to complete the process.
The second problem that I see is, when you mark items as paid you cannot print an invoice without backing up and checking the items again and the print the invoice.
I do like the combined shipping discount though.

What AW did was a BAD move. I dont use the WBN because I find it obnoxious and too lengthy for the winning bidder and I CANT STAND the fact that I have to manually fill in the WBN with the bidders info in order to park an item paid. What was AW thinking???

Yeah,

Nobody, and I mean nobody fills in the WBN form.

So, stop trying to force us into a system that doesnt work - let us use Box 3 as we always have!!

And get on with it!

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. This step has been corrected to perform as it did before.

Christopher.....

It is still NOT working as before!

Now when you click on "paid" it jumps to invoice BUT it still does not indicate in #3 on the post sale keys that it has been paid.

Please check and advise.

Russ
