I'm sure eventually the new feature will be a nice addition....hopefully the bugs will be worked out soon.

My question is: I have several buyers who are continuously buying. If I "combine" 6 or 8 auctions, and a few days later the same buyer wins additiona items, will the new wins add into the first combined batch or once you "combine" is that it?

Hello,

Great question!

If the buyer has already completed the checkout process for those other items, they will have an new batch of items as a shopping cart. (or just one, if they only won one since then)

If however the buyer has not gone in to checkout on the last group of 5 items they won, they will automatically see the 6th also if they then go to checkout finally after the 6th has closed. You are not required to send the combined WBN for the system to pick up any new items won by the same buyer and include them in the shopping cart.

This is VERY bad news!! What's the point of combining if you can't combine them as they close? The way you have it now means this: If you have a winner who has, let's say 2 auctions they just HAPPEN to win at EXACTLY the same time, you are lucky - because their wins will show up at EXACTLY the same time in your PSM's needing WBNs and you can combine them. But you really aren't THAT lucky though. You STILL better check ALL your current auctions (including ALL your Dutch auction's lists of bidder's) to find out if they have anymore auctions closing later before you get too confident in combining those 1st 2!) If you really need to combine, as many do because they sell a lot of small items to 1 winner over a period of a few days to even a week or so, that means you will CONSTANTLY have to go into every current auction and look to see if they are a bidder and only when you have done this for oh..I don't know, how long do you suggest AW? - a WEEK maybe?-to be sure they're done bidding - can you go into your PSM and select all their wins in order to combine them all in 1. Do I have that right?

Meantime, their "won" auctions are sitting there with all the PSM keys white, mixed in with other "single-win" auctions waiting for WBNs to be sent, with all THEIR keys white too. This means you have to CONSTANTLY sift through all THOSE to be sure you're not mistaking a combined winner with auctions yet to close (who you should NOT send a WBN to now) and a winner who only has 1 win that you SHOULD send a WBN to right now. Do I have that right?
This also means anyone who has WBN's sent automatically, will not be able to use that function anymore, if they want to be combining. It also means everytime you select the "WBN's To Send" function, all the "combined's" waiting for the winner to finish up with their last win will pull up along with all the "single" winning auctions that need WBN's and there we go a-sifting again.
I'm hoping against all hope that I'm completely wrong about all the above and you will enlighten me.

I agree (I think...)

It would be nice if all of the wins for a particular buyer could be combined with a single click. All that would be needed would be the total cost of the items since the total shipping costs when items are combined is usually less than when they are added individually (unless you charge flat rate per item, it suppose?). THEN being able to add additional wins as they occur, with updated total, is all that would be needed.

It would appear that the current set up is based on each buyer responding to each WBN - that ain't gonna happen. It's nice when they do respond, but if I get 2 or 3 people out of ten to respond to the WBN, I'm lucky.

Hello,

If you want to combine your WBNs with a single click, you can. From the post sale list, select the Combine Items option and you can search for all combineable items you have in post sale to merge as an order and send out to the winner. If this is still confusing you please let me know, and break down any existing problems/questions that this did not answer.
