How do I correct this error message:
I have a whole bunch of listings that give this error in the pending when I try to list them! Help!
Error 37: Failed in input data absorption.
Data for tag <CheckoutInstructions> can not be absorbed, please check API input data documentation and provide a valid value for the data type.

hi, when i ran into this error the other day it was because my checkout instructions were too long, too many characters to be absorbed. after i shortened them it worked perfect.

Hi Hopecharity,
Thank you for letting us know about the problem. Indeed Dungerson is right, as the error is caused by a longer then 500 chars message in the checkout instructions text area. We will fix soon the code. In the mean time please edit your preferences and shorten the text, by going to My Account, Ebay Site Specifics, under "eBay Default Checkout & Shipping Terms" section.
Unfortunately, as this text is copied from the above section to the listings at create time, you will have to manually edit this field for all errored in pending listings.
