I have different shipping charges for each auction. Can I add what my shipping charges are to appear at the bottom of the eBay auction listing (Payment Details Section) via Auction Managers Create listing page?

Hi Idnyc,

You certainly can add your shipping options at the end of your description. In order to do so, go to My Account, Seller Global and at the bottom of the page, under section "Auction Listing Options" you will notice a checkbox: "Insert Shipping Options and Details into Listing". Check this option and save your preferences.

This sounds like I will be saving a default shipping cost if I do that. Like I said in my first post, all my auctions have different shipping charges. I was wondering if you could add a section on the "create listing" page where I could enter the shipping of that individual auction and have it appear in the "Payment Details" section on the bottom of the eBay auction.

Hi idnyc,

This wouldn't be default shipping. If you click the box that rtogui mentioned, the shipping options that you choose for each auction will actually appear in the auction. If you have a set shipping amount that is different for each auction, this is the best way to display it.

OK, I changed my preferences and tried it out. I do see that it does add this at the end of my default text and PayPal logos, but will it also appear in the "Payment Details" section of the eBay auction listing at the very bottom of the page. I use the section to the right of the "Payment Details" which is called "Payment Instructions" here at AuctionWatch.

I just answered my own question. I launched an auction to see if it would appear there and it didn't. Can I change any other preferences to have it show up there or is that only accessable at eBay?

Hello,

You can only use that space provided by eBay if you enable their 'checkout' feature. If you use the eBay 'checkout' - then you can have the shipping and payment information show up in that box.

The location in your auctions where you have the shipping carrier and amount entered currently is the only one available with the eBay 'checkout' disabled.

Ah Ha! Got you again Monsieur Moderator!

You don't have to enable eBay's Checkout to have text appear in the "checkout" box.

Every auction I launch has the phrase "I don't use eBay's Checkout!" It shows up every timg.

At some point, I might get long-winded and put in the post-sales process (if I can figure out how to fit it in 500 words or less).

But, if you are going to see that box on every listing you build in AW, then you might as well put specific shipping information in there.

Unfortunately, that's no guarantee that anyone will read it or pay attention to it even if they do...

Hi Larry,

Don't be too quick to jump on this one, I was under the same assumption till I checked into this further.

Note that 'idnyc' is looking to place information into the Payment Details field - not the Payment Instructions field where you enter your 'no checkout' message.
