I don't want the insurance on the Billing Info pay that the buyer fills out because I include the insurance in my S&H in my listings so the buyer knows exactly what to pay. Then they see the insurance box to click and pay for insurance twice. Then I have to refund them the overcharge.

I tried changing the global preferences and clicking on I don't offer insurance, but it doesn't change. It still has my insurance as $.60. I tried 3 times. This is confusing. How do I get rid of the box so they can't click on it and get charged twice?

Hello,

While that will change it for all auctions you list from now on, your active or already closed items will not reflect changes made to your preferences.

I did however take a look at some of your active items as well, and none of the ones I checked appeared to give this option, so you should be all set.

Christopher, why would a change to Insurance be "locked in" when the auction is launched?

Of all things, I consider that to be a property of a WBN, not a property of a listing.

It really doesn't make sense...

Hi Larry,

Actually, the insurance option is saved or not when the auction closes. Changing the preference for insurance will carry over into active items but not closed items, sorry for the confusion.
