One of my auctions ended today (April 21) in Ebay at 8:28 AM. When I logged in to Auctionwatch I had to hit refresh in order to update the active listings screen. Since some of my auctions we're closed already and shows still active in the current screen. The WBN did not get sent until I refreshed which was around 12:27PM. That's more than a 4 hour delay since the auction closed. My other auction ended April 20 at 10:22 PM and WBN did not get sent until today at 12:27PM. What's up with that?

Hi donzg,
AuctionWatch recently introduced new functionality to enable a Winning Bidder Notification (WBN) to be sent to a buyer immediately after a Buy It Now (BIN) purchase. In the past, there was a delay in delivering WBNs and updating your control panel because AuctionWatch was not able to constantly monitor every eBay listing for early closing due to Buy It Now purchases.
This new feature, called AuctionWatch Mail Relay, works seamlessly for you and your buyers once activated, without changing any of your existing processes. Mail Relay allows AuctionWatch to use the eBay end of auction notice that is automatically sent to you (the seller) to trigger WBN delivery to your buyer and control panel update. Mail Relay is easy to set up and use. To activate, a seller simply updates the email address on file at eBay with a new address supplied by AuctionWatch. eBay generated mail is then sent directly to a secure mail server at AuctionWatch that checks for end of auction notices while forwarding all received mail to your email address on file with AuctionWatch. If the mail contains an end of auction notice, AuctionWatch will use the data to trigger WBN delivery and Control Panel update.
Mail Relay is both secure and fast. The AuctionWatch Mail Relay system does not store any email after it is safely delivered to you. We understand that customer and eBay communication is very important to you, which is why we built this highly available, secure system to seamlessly deliver email with no changes to your current process.

To take advantage of this new feature, please follow the 4 steps below. We have included steps to test it thoroughly so you can become comfortable with it before use.
1) Verify that your email address on file at AuctionWatch is accurate.
2) Change your email address at eBay - Log on to eBay, and change your email address to '[email protected]' (for example, if your AuctionWatch ID is 'janedoe', enter your new email address as '[email protected]').
Please Note: If your existing eBay user ID is your email address, your eBay user ID will change to '[email protected]' and will appear with sunglasses. If you wish, you can change your eBay user ID to something other than an email address to prevent the 'mailstep.com' email address from becoming your eBay ID. You can change your eBay user ID here. If you do change your eBay user ID, please remember to also make the change at AuctionWatch to prevent any auction launching delays.
3) Confirm your email address change at eBay - Look in your primary email account for an email with the subject "eBay Change E-mail". Follow the instructions in that email to log in to eBay and confirm the change. Remember to reenter your email address as '[email protected]'.
4) Confirm MailRelay Functionality - Send a message to yourself through eBay's 'Send Seller a Question' form to confirm that messages reach you in a timely fashion (remember, you can always quickly undo the process if you change your mind).

We are excited to bring you this enhancement that will help us support eBay's Buy It Now feature. If at any time you wish to discontinue this Buy It Now enhancement, it is very easy to disable (simply change the eBay e-mail address back to your primary e-mail account address). Please reply to this message or email '[email protected]' if you have any questions or comments.
