I'm just starting out with selling.Confused about templates. The page on auctionWatch,,I can not find where it's suppose to be. HELP!
The templates will be available for you to select from when you begin your listing for a site that supports them. From the Sales Manager tab, click to 'create listing' and select to list your item to eBay. On the listing form itself, just below the category options, you can choose from a list of pre-made templates we have available. Additionally, you can click to customize one to get a different look if you like.

Not to pick on you guys or anything but most of your templates are rather uninspiring (even the new ones). Is there any way a person could upload a background or jpg image of their own to use as a template background? Just wondering. Very happy with the service otherwise.

Hi Gaiarising,
We do allow you to customize the templates we have available, but are not setup to display background images at this time.
You can use specific images for your storefront design, and then use the 'storefront' template to get an image included with the template itself. You will need to go setup your storefront with the image you want to use first, via the storefront link on the My Account tab.
Then come back to the Sales Manager tab, click to create a new eBay auction and use the customize option to find the storefront template.

Wow! That was a fast response. Thanks, I will go create a storefront.
Now, just one more question. When I write up the description of my item I use a few paragraphs and space a little between each but the whole description shows up on the ad page as just one long paragraph. I've seen auction watch ads on eBay with paragraph style desriptions so I know it can be done, but how? Also being able to bold face or change text color for emphasis now and then would be good.
When entering your text into the description box for your new item listing, you will need to use a couple of basic html "tags" to allow the text to be formatted with paragraph breaks and line breaks. The tags you need are listed below:
<P> - Insert this before any text where you would like to start a new paragraph.
<BR> - Insert this where you would like a simple line break (as if you hit the enter key.)
We hope that this will assist you in formatting your text. You may also use various other HTML tags to change your font size/color, etc. There are many online HTML tutorials, as well as a guide provided by eBay, available at this URL:

Christopher,
Above you stated:
"We do allow you to customize the templates we have available, but are not setup to display background images at this time."
Does this mean that with AuctionWatch that users aren't able to use a background image or color to cover the rest of the page that the templates don't cover? I'd like to have a light background color for my auctions to cover the entire page. Am I able to do this now? Thank you.
