Well, for the better part of a day now I've tried to launch new auctions using Auction Manager Pro and even tried to relist some items that were recently sold on eBay. Every time I launch the auctions, they end up in the pending section with a "processing" comment. After a couple of minutes, I get error messages for each and every attempted listing. What's going on and what can be done to fix this problem?

Hi Marc,

eBay is saying you have gone over your available balance, and will need to make another payment before you can continue listing your items.

This is usually the result of their new(ish) rule where if you are on the pay as you go plan, your balance cannot go over $25.

That doesn't make any sense at all. I've been using eBay for over three years and have never missed a payment (its set up thru my credit card). Plus, my eBay account says that I'm not past due. I've never heard of this "new-ish" rule that says your account balance can't go voer $25. If that's the case, I'd be over that balance in one or two auctions. Somehow your answer doesn't make sense to me. Can you refer this to your supervisor?

Hi Marc,

I am just relaying to you what the actual text of the error message from eBay said on those failed auctions.

It appears you have since listed your items without error, so if you did make any changes at eBay (updated your credit card, etc), it helped. If you did not make any changes to your account status at eBay and they just launched, there was apparently a transient error that caused that error message from eBay about going over your available balance.

Additionally, eBay (nor I) did not say you missed any payments, just simply that a payment needed to be made before you could continue listing. The $25 limit I mention is for users on the pay as you go plan, which as you mention you are not on, so that wouldn't apply to you.
