In the "Category | Top Category" field there is a drop-down box. You have to select one of the categories there before any of the other boxes will contain values. Just select one in each box until you can't select any more...

Thanks for the tip, but I mean NO categories show up at all, no drop down boxes, anything! Just lines, I have tried everything, and have been using the system for some time so I'm pretty familiar with it. Anyone else having that problem, with the lines? Thanks for responding, anyway, though!

Hi suncat7,

The problem you mention is related to JavaScript. Sometime between the last time they showed up correctly and now, your browser stopped supporting Java correctly.

If you disabled it, you will need to enable it again. If you did not disable it, first try simply restarting your browser/machine. If it still does not work correctly, you may need to reload/upgrade your browser software.

I am having the same problem. It is in the setup for the new categories. If I try to use one of the new categories it will save nothing in the categories area. However, if I use one of the old categories it does save the category. An example would be my pending listing for the Tommy armour golf clubs. If I use Sports/Sporting Goods/Golf/Irons/Tommy Armour I lose the category upon saving. If I use Sports/Sporting Goods/Golf/Irons/Other it will save the category. AW, please check your new category interfaces.
Thanks
Casey

Hi Casey,

The error you are talking about and the one mentioned above are completely seperate. The error listed above has to do with JavaScript. Unless you are seeing only lines where the category options would be, yours is not a JavaScript issue.

I have forwarded this issue along to engineering to check into, as there does appear to be an issue with the category option you mention.

It seems to be a problem with some of the new categories but not others. An example would be my auction for the Titleist irons. I can use the new category Sports/Sporting Goods/Golf/Irons/Titleist/full set
thanks

Hi Casey,

I did a test, and you can list to those categories if you select it and schedule/launch now right then.

If you only save it, then go into it to view again does the category seem to get wiped out.

So, you should be able to continue listing there for right now, just make sure to schedule your item after you drop it into the category needed and it will list without error.

Engineering will continue to check into this error until we find resolution.
