It seems that if the buyer doesn't select 'country' in his first try in filling out the wbn response, he gets in a loop and just keeps getting the 'select country' error indication and cannot complete the response no matter what he does. Anyone else notice this? Or is it just happening to my buyers? I was told this a while back and just ignored it and did the wbn via email but now it has happened again. This time I talked with the buyer to get the details of the loop.
While your buyers fill the WBN response, they have to enter Billing Information (name, address, city, ..., and country), but also the
Shipping Information. If both addresses are identical, they may check "Click here if same as billing address" checkbox to save typing. If they forgot the select country in the first part, they should select it for the second part of the form also, otherwise the "Select Country" error message will be displayed. (I think this is why they say it's a loop)

Thanks for the response. Yep, it's a misreading of the error message. If they miss both country entries, they think the error is the one right there at the bottom, the ship-to. And yes, they need to correct the bill-to. Anyway, I guess it's confusing to newbies, as I've never had the problem with oldies. Just wondering if that country field in the bill-to couldn't default to US. Anyone not in the US would easily see that they need to change it, and see the dropdown arrow to the right. Just a thought, but I do think some of the previous unexplained confusion with the wbn is caused by this. Actually, I have had great response to my WBN, but I mostly have oldie buyers. Dave.
Unfortunately, we cannot default any field in the WBN page. As a quick workaround, please tell your buyers to re-check the "Click here if same as billing address" if they receive the error and select a country for billing information.
