I'm very unhappy with the quality of the photos in my auctions. I take these nice clean, crisp photos and edit them to look their best. When I upload them to AuctionWatch, they seem to lose some quality, but when they appear in my auctions, they look terrible. The edges look all watery and sometimes the middle looks blurry too. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this an Ebay issue, or what?

May be excessive compression of the file when you upload it. I set my compression level to almost zero a while back and pics improved immensely, but of course take much longer to upload. This can be minimized by close cropping and very plain backgrounds! Also, if I use IE instead of aol directly, they are better.
Rgrem is right. If your images look fine on your computer, but when you upload them, they appear distorted, try clearing the cache and history in your browser. Then, under MY AOL, open preferences, and click the WWW button. Under advanced should be an option to view compressed graphics. UNCHECK the box next to this option, then close out of preferences. Refresh your page, and your images should clear up.

Sonya, I followed your instructions and undid the option for compressed graphics, cleaned my cache and history but it didn't make any difference. Ebay item 2029400910 is an example of the problem I am having. This is such a cute figurine, but it looks awful in my auction. This is a fairly new problem, but I can't tell you exactly when it started. Any suggestions will be welcome.
