Hello,

I wanted to let you know that in the coming weeks, we will be introducing a tool that will allow you to restore closed auction data that has been archived. Note that this function will allow you to restore data for a limited time after it is archived, so please be sure to remember the auto-archive intervals set in your account. Most data that has already been archived will be retrievable once this tool is live.

If you find that you are relaunching auctions from your closed section frequently, or you want to retain listing data for templating purposes, you should save your auctions to Inventory as you list them. This will save a copy of the auction which can then be relaunched at any time. Note that by using Inventory, you will be able to organize your listings in separate folders which will allow for greater efficiency and ease of use. You can also easily list a single inventory item to any venue, which will save time if you are using multiple venues.

If you want to copy a particular closed item to your inventory for future relist, follow these steps:
1) Go to the 'Closed' section of control panel
2) Select the item you wish to copy, and click the 'relist' button
3) Click on the 'edit' link next to the selected item
4) Scroll to the bottom of the item listing, click the box next to 'save this item in my inventory', then click the 'save' button
5) Cancel relist if you wish to just save and not relist the auction

Note that the listing will be saved into the "unfiled" folder.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Diana

When do you think this feature will be enabled? There are many archived items I would like to relist. Obviously, the quicker, the better. Please let me know. You help in this matter is welcomed.

Thanks,
Beeper

Hello beeper,

Unfortunately I am not able to provide a more specific timeframe for this, but we will implement it as quickly as possible.

I think this is wonderful as I, like most sellers, don't know squat about how to translate the spreadsheet into useable data. Thanks so much! =)

Hi AW, Beeper & Biffett, just curious about one thing. Why go through all the stuff above with inventory when you can just leave an auction in closed for as long as you want and just relist it and edit it as needed. The only thing to watch for is to keep your images updated so they are not deleted within the 90 day timespan. Or am I missing something here. Please advise your thoughts.---- I would like to see closed listings disappear though when they are relisted to pending. I have had a problem with double relists forgetting that an item has already been relisted. Thanks, Steve
