Some of my auctions that I listed tonight are missing the gallery pic's. Is their a problem with the launching tonight?

Hello,

Your items from last night should have them now, if eBay charged you for them. Your recent items may take a little while to add to the gallery though, but if eBay charged you for them - they will appear.

I just checked my ebay bill and yes I have been charged for the gallery pictures.
When I go to "Fix gallery pic's sight" it says "Your image has not yet been added to the Gallery". I'm afraid to list more auctions until this is fixed.

Hi,

Did you check your items that were listed last night to see if they had been added yet?

eBay makes a copy of the image we send them and hosts it on their own page. It does take them a while to add all of those images both to their webspace, and then make them available in the gallery view. Now are you unable to even find your item in the gallery, or is it there with no picture?

FYI - I don't know how far behind they are right now, but have seen a normal amount of time for this to take place at around 4-8 hours in the past.

If they charged you for it, that at least means they received your request to add it, and the image to make a copy of and host on their site - so it should appear.

Last night I listed 41 auctions, 4 of them came threw with no gallery pic...they are still missing now.
When I go to my seller page I see a box next to my auction where the picture is supose to be. It says click here to see pic.
When I type in my auction under search I get a little tv looking picture next to my auction indicating that their is supose to be a picture there.

Is anyone else having this problem? I'm ready to scream..........

Hello,

Another user did write in and said they contacted eBay about this. Apparently there has been some error there and they needed to reset them for the user. This is in reference to the image appearing with "click here to view image" links instead.

When you just see the little camera icon instead, that means they haven't actually added the image to the gallery yet. In those cases you will have to wait for them to make the duplicate, host it on their end and make it available on the listing itself.

Edited to add : I ran a test auction and it took around 5.5 hours before it went from the camera icon to the gallery image appearing. You should also refresh the page when you go to view them, to see if it has in fact been updated yet.

I listed lots of auctions last night too, no gallery pics either. I looked on a friends auction page who listed over 12 hours ago, none on hers either. When should we be concerned? Do we have to contact Ebay or will be and automatic fix. I had over 20 auctions I paid for gallery pics. Aggervating to say the least.

I had only one auction listed through AMPRO last night with a gallery picture and the gallery pic doesn't show up on mine either.
I do not want to continue the auction without it.

This isn't just Auction Watch either. I have checked many auctions that are from other image hosters, Ipix, etc. and the same problem seems to be happening.

Also disturbing is the fact that MANY auctions are not showing cameras (as having pics) when you search for items. It seems to be hit or miss.

I checked out glassware/pottery and many listed last night show they have no pictures! That would be a disaster for glass sellers!

Hello,

You may want to try resubmitting the image you want to use in the gallery -- eBay has a Fix Gallery Image page where you can enter in the correct URL. This might help to speed up the process, as it now seems the problem exists on other image host servers.

In order to obtain the correct URL for the gallery image, open the full-size image from your Image Hosting page by clicking on the image file name link (your Image Hosting page can be accessed by clicking the Manage Images link within Sales Manager, or by clicking the Image Hosting tab.)

Then, place your pointer/cursor over the image and right-click. Open "properties" and copy and paste the URL from the properties box into the Gallery correction form if you are using Internet Explorer, or click "copy image location" then paste the URL into the Gallery correction form on eBay if you are using Netscape.
