I was looking at closed auction last night that I wanted to relist tonight. When I went to relist it this afternoon, I discovered it had been archived during the night and was nowhere to be found. Being too lazy to reconstruct it, I went to my account, clicked on the statement it appeared on for the original listing and scrolled down till I found it. I clicked on the auction number link and verified it was still in Ebay's database. I then copied the auction number, switched back to control panel, clicked on track auctions, and went to the second option and pasted the auction number in the blank and hit the button. The message said it would show up in my active listings, but when I got back to the control panel and refreshed the screen, there it was in closed auctions ready to relist. Hopefully the retrieval tool will be ready soon so we don't have to go through all the above steps, but until then, the above proceedure will retrieve your old auctions if AW sends then to the cellar before you relist them.

How long did you wait before doing this? I accidentally archived an auction, before it has even been paid, and I tried this immediately, but it tells me there are no untracked auctions.

I did it the day after the auction was archived. The message you received sounds like the one that is returned if you let the tracking feature search for active auctions. Use the second tracking option, where you enter the auction number. That should get it back for you.

But, next question is - WHEN will we be able to retrieve auctions from archive WITH OUR FULL DESCRIPTIONS?

While I was taking a vacation from ebay in May, AW archived over 100 auctions without email notification of any kind. I returned to find my closed folder shrunk from 110 auctions to 10 auctions. And, I'd carefully kept only unique closed auctions that would assist in writing future ones!

So, Sonia, when is this archive retrieval tool that can bring back the full auction description available?

Just came across the restore option in the archive area , well done , as I had to restore 2 old sales to get info.

Now please fix the tax menu to auto calculate amount depending what state is chosen.

Thanks
