Whenever I use Auction Manager to list an eBay auction with an apostrophe in the title, the apostrophe is replaced by a blank space. I can then go into eBay and revise the listing and add the apostrophe, but it never comes out right in the initial listing. This used to be a problem in the auction description too, but that seems to have been corrected. I wrote AuctionWatch directly, but never received a response. Does anybody have any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks for any insight you can lend!

Hi Chrisnich,

What are you putting as your title? Is this happening to any of your currently active auctions?

Hi Sonya. I appreciate the quick and cheerful responses that you always seem to leave on these boards, even to postings that aren't as courteous as they could/should be.

I had the apostrophe problem on three of my current eBay auctions lauched through AW: #1549468997, #1549471267, and #2121723715. In each case the apostrophe in the title came out as a blank space; and in each case I had to correct it manually through eBay's "revise listing" feature.

As I said before, it used to happen in the item description too, but lately the problem seems limited to just the auction title.

Thanks for any insight you can lend and keep up the great work!

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the compliments.

I've tried to replicate this problem but I could not. When you are about to list these items, do you preview them first? Is this happening consistently each time you try to place apostrophes in words in the title?

If it happens again, and you don't get there in time to change it, be aware that it is treated as a space in the ebay search, so its absence won't affect your hits.
