I've been going through the HELP area. I can't seem to find how to add a photo to an auction (ebay) that is currently running. Where do I find that? Or, maybe I should first ask: can it be done? So far, no bids on the item. I guess I need to do this before any bid shows up. Thanks! Jim

Hello,

1. From Auction Manager, click on the "Manage Images" link. Check the box of the image(s) you wish to add under the select column. Click the "Attach Image" button on the bottom of the page, verify your image, and click "Continue". You will then come to a page that contains a box or block of HTML. Copy and paste the entire box of HTML into the description box of the auction revision form, being very careful not to alter any pre-existing HTML that may be in this field.

2. From our legacy Image Hosting service:

To access, click the Image Hosting tab, and select the image(s) you want to attach to your auction. Click the "Attach Image" button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, select the auction site from the drop-down menu, and click the "Existing Auction" radio button. The next page will require you to enter the user ID, password, auction number, or if "Other Auction Site" was selected from the drop-down menu, you will need to copy and paste the HTML code into the auction revision form.

Keep in mind that your image(s) will appear beneath the ad template on the auction page.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Is it possible to add a gallery image to an auction which has already been launched?

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no option to add your item to the gallery once listed since it would change the cost of listing the item. eBay will not give the option to make changes that effect the cost to list your item.

I have revised auctions and been charged for the revisions such as going from 7 day to 10 days ( a .10 surcharge appears) or changed prices which have resulted in different fees. When listing an auction outside of AW I have added but the revision form only lists the cleardot (so the auction will have the camera icon) but not the URL to the images except in the description. generally it's no big deal but unfortuneately I launched a featured in catagory auction and forgot to toggle the radio button in my haste for the gallery. It will be interesting to see how much of a difference it makes over the duration of this particular auction.

Thanks for the quick response,
Dave

Hi Dave,

eBay must have changed it's policy since I last attempted to make a change to a listing that would result in the change of price.

As with all other active auction changes, doing so will need to be done via eBay.
You will need your images URL when you go to add anything to the gallery (if they give you the option) and can use step 2 listed above to get the HTML which contains that images URL.

The form on eBay that I get when revising an auction launched using AW is slightly different that the form I get in an auction launched directly thru eBay either Posted to eBay thru a browser or using Mr. Lister there seem to be a few more variables that I have access to outside of AW but it's generally not a problem (mostly I can add bold text, highlight, feature in gallery etc.). I've changed pics in running auctions by simply deleting the picture I wished to replace and uploading the picture I wished with the name of the deleted picture.

Thanks again,
Dave
