I have a closed auction from mid-March that is in my "Closed" folder. I want to copy part of it for a description on a new auction, and the only way to open it up to copy the crucial paragraph is to select it and hit "relist". But, when I do, I get this message:

"This feature allows you to launch an auction by copying information from a previous auction. Auction venues will charge listing fees for relaunched auctions.

Note: The following items are unavailable for relist or copy:

EMANUEL UNGARO Bright Red Wrap Jacket 50/16 - already relisted"

I KNOW it was already relisted. It is so old that it wouldn't have qualified for a relist rebate ANYWAY. But, I NEED to open it to get part of it for a description! I have several closed auctions that might be needed in this way, over the next several months.

How do I OPEN it without choosing relist? (Obviously, since it's from March, it is no longer viewable on ebay)

Hi Kathleenrock,

Here's what you will have to do (you were on the good track, by the way!):
- select the item from your closed pannel, and hit relist.
- in the next page schedule the item for a future date (this is some kind of fake relist, as you intend to reuse some part of the description...)
- go to your panding section, click on the item and hit UndoLaunch.
Now the item is on your pending section. You can click on the item's title and there you are: you may copy, edit, paste some part of your description.
Note: the above only works for listings launched via AW services (i.e. will not work for tracked or imported listings)

Hi, Marius,

That's the POINT! AW isn't letting me do that! That's what I normally do, but in this case, when I select this Ungaro closed auction from March, and hit "relist", I get a BLANK second page with this two sentence error message in RED:

"Note: The following items are unavailable for relist or copy:

EMANUEL UNGARO Bright Red Wrap Jacket 50/16 - already relisted"

There is no normal "new edit" button, nor "relaunch" button, nor "schedule" button to press at ALL! Nothing! It's blank except for this error message.

Why would an auction be totally unavailable for relist or copy?

I NEED to copy part of this one desperately, for an auction that should have launched last night. So, please respond asap!

Hi Kathleenrock,

Indeed the item was relisted. But at relist time you changed the title. The relisted one is called: "ANNE KLEIN II Tweed Wool Silk Blend Jacket 18". For this one, the above procedure works!

Okay ... but if I relisted Ungaro to Anne Klein I DIDN'T delete Ungaro. It was a COPY function.

I don't need an Anne Klein description. I need my original UNGARO description, and I didn't delete it. So, WHERE IS IT?

Hello,

The original is not available for use any longer. The system already made that item available for relist, so only the item you relisted would itself be avilable to relist or copy now.

Unfortunately, if you changed all of the data within it when you relisted to be a completely different item, those are the only details now available to you.
