I have lots of auctions going up today. I spent all morning working on this. None of my images are showing up on eBay. Please do something a.s.a.p.

Hello,

I checked your account and your images are all showing up. Try clearing your browser cache and viewing them again.

Sonya

I did that. Still no pictures. When you open my auctions, there are empty boxes where the images should be. The last auction that started has no thumbnail. What's happening?

mine aren't either - I was in the middle of trying to create an auction and clicked on Manage Images - all I am getting is little red x's - my cache is clear and I rebooted just for good measure - my images are not showing up on ebay either

Hello everyone,

This was posted on the Announcement forum, I'm pasting it here in case you didn't get to see this:

Due to a link failure on the network that connects us to the internet, some users are currently unable to access the site. We have failed over to a redundant network link in order to avoid access problems, however, this failover has not fully propagated at this time so certain ISPs will not be able to provide access to the site.

We are working on resolving this problem both internally and externally at this time. Thank you for your patience, and as always, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Regards,

Sonya

I have had it with these outages. I know I am just one user and AW may not even care, but these are the last auctions I will ever compose or have AW host the images for. It just KILLS my auctions when none of the pictures loads, not to mention 3 times in one week.

What are you running this on, 486's?

I used to be a happy user, now I think it's just counterproductive. And to offer no compensation unless your auctions were ending on the day the outage occurred is just PLIAN RIDICULOUS, LUDICROUS, AND INSULTING. Do you really think I didn't lose any money just because my auctions didn't end on one of the many days that your server went on vacation?

I know another service out there has to be better than this mess and would gladly accept my money!

10-4 over and out AW!

My auctions won't even open all the way through Netscape. IE works but no images.

AW you have completely shut me down! Please give me some idea if this is going to take long enough for me to cancel everything and find another service to list. I can't wait around for you to look for your problems. This is totally ridiculous and it happens FAR TOO MUCH! What am I paying you for anyway?

Hello,

We are working to resolve this as quickly as we can. I unfortunately do not have an estimate for you at this time as to when the problem will be resolved. The problem is external to us, so we are working with our providers to expedite the repair. Note that only a percentage of users are affected by this - your images are viewable to the users not affected.

Thank you for your patience, and we apologize again for the inconvenience.

Diana

I doubt it highly that anyone can see my pictures. I have not had a new bid all day, how coincidental.

My pictures are not showing up. I have 8 auctions ending tonight. You have cost me lots of money. Just think of the final values you have lost out on.

Wow! The AW Staff can see pictures the rest of us can't! Did anyone notice that it is not their fault? If I hired someone to perform a service or supply a product and they failed, who would my customers complain to? Well these are all questions my 14 year old could answer. So much for service, ....with a little truth. Seems not
to be the corporate way, aye Martha?? Hate to be so cynical, but, I like to deal with the truth, I.E. We are getting hosed with no thought of enumeration for our losses.

Have been having problems all afternoon accessing AW, and pictures are only intermittently coming up. Not just a local thing-checked with relatives on East coast and in Florida-intermittent there too. Just tried to do a listing (silly me), and it just disappeared when trying to save it. Had to go back in 5 times in order to get on AW at all. Got a complaint from a customer this evening about pictures not showing.

The problem is resolved, but I still want compensation. What does AW plan on doing? I do not want to hear the lame explanation that I will be compensated only if I had auctions that were ending during the outage. Regardless this unreliable service cost me unpredicatable amounts of money.

Make it right!
