"Payment received" acknowledgement can now be sent to buyers upon an item being marked paid (PSM step 3; either manually, or automatically.) This is great to reassure buyers that you have received their funds.
Nice feature but I want to turn it OFF and am unable to.
Please Advise.
I've already been to "my account-post sale management".

Sorry.....
What I meant to say is that on the screen where you mark payment made, it has a block that is defaulted as checked.
Please fix it so that it is defaulted to unchecked status.

Hi Dugandog,
Are you referring to step 3? It automatically checks itself if you are setup with paypal mailstep.

What is Paypal mailstep?
I'm talking about when I go to the "post-sale express" page, select an item and click on paid. You then are transported to the page that has a button titled "apply payment/mark as paid". Above that, there is a box that is automatically checked "Send "Payment Received" email to buyers". The box should be defaulted to be left unchecked.
I should not have to remember to uncheck it each time.

Hi,
Okay, I see what you are talking about now. I will see if we can get this made as a default option.

Will this be fixed soon?
I ship "same day" so to send one notice that says "payment rcvd and will ship shortly" and another later saying "shipped" is ridiculous.
Set it up to be either "automatically send" or do not send.
Eliminate the checkmark. An unnecessary step and easily overlooked when processing payments.

Maybe we are not talking about the same thing - but my payment receiveds do not go out automatically. If you go to my account and then to post sale management - they is a button to click to send automatically - I don't have mine clicked - so I need to send manually to those I want it to go to. The button is right above the text for the payment received.
