This week is only the second time I've used AW's WBN. And it will be my last if this is an indication.

I can't get any of my payments made by buyers who clicked on the link in the winning bid notice because I'm not verified, and can't get verified.

What feature am I using? Is the AW WBN a special feature that requires verification? If so, please point me to the place here at AW that warns me that I need to be verified with paypal to use the WBN.

The payments of buyers who didn't use the paypal link in the WBN all show completed.

Hello,

There is nothing special about how you accept PayPal through us. You have your PayPal email address stored with us as the same email address you have listed as your primary here on AuctionWatch.
Unless that email address is not the same one you have been using all along for PayPal, the process for accepting those payments should be exactly the same.

It has to be something with the AW link in the WBN.

One buyer clicked through the paypal link on the auction page. That payment is complete.

Several buyers wouldn't use the WBN, they logged into their accounts and sent payments. Their payments show as complete.

Only the buyers who completed the WBN and clicked on the AW paypal link, show as incomplete!

Could it have something to do with the ebay take over?

Here is the notice I received when I tried to accept the payment:

"You must be a Verified member to accept this payment.

To accept this payment, please verify your account now. PayPal requires that accounts receiving payments from our Web Accept, Instant Purchase for Auctions, or Winning Bidder Notification features be Verified. This increases the security of the PayPal network and lowers your risk by completing one of the requirements of our Seller Protection Policy.

You can also refuse this payment and continue to receive payments using other features. But to ensure that you can always receive payments - verify your account today!"

Hello,

This is all happening in the same paypal account? Perhaps something did change with the eBay take-over, or just with a recent update. We have yet to receive any other reports of this issue, but will forward this issue along to be checked into.

Any other users running into an issue with this, that are not verified?

Yes, it's all on the same account.

I only have one paypal account.

I don't understand what they mean by "Web Accept, Instant Purchase for Auctions, or Winning Bidder Notification features," Auction Watch was the only "feature" I was using.

Hello,

This looks to be a problem with your PayPal account -- are you logging into paypal with a different email address perhaps that isn't verified?

Sonya

Sonya, I don't understand your question.

I'm not verified, but I do have a paypal premier account.

The emails used are all registered to my account.

The people who's payments were accepted did NOT use the paypal link in the AW form.

The people who's payments I can't accept DID use the paypal link in the AW form.

The AW WBN is the only "Winning Bidder Notification feature" I'm using.

Why is paypal requiring me to be verified inorder to use the AW WBN?

Hello,

You don't have to be verified to use the AW WBN. As long as the email address you have stored here for PayPal is a part of your PayPal account it should go there. Did you try contacting PayPal, to see if there is some kind of problem with that email address in your account?

Sonya

The payments that were accepted used the same email address, as the ones that went through the AW link that weren't accepted.

Hi Greatlakes,

PayPal lets you decide how you would like to handle the payments made by buyers that do not have confirmed addresses. You might want to check your PayPal account to see how you have your profile set up in terms of payments. Let me know what you have set up.

Regards,

Sonya
