Is there any way to add an image to a listing on Ebay once the auction has already been launched from AW? I cannot figure out what the url for the pic will be.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

Outlined below are two ways in which you can attach images to your existing auctions. Step one is much easier if it is a regular eBay listing. If however it is for Motors, you will need to use step two.

1. From our legacy Image Hosting service:

To access, click the Image Hosting tab, and select the image(s) you want to attach to your auction. Click the "Attach Image" button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, select the auction site from the drop-down menu, and click the "Existing Auction" radio button. The next page will require you to enter the user ID, password, auction number, or if "Other Auction Site" was selected from the drop-down menu, you will need to copy and paste the HTML code into the auction revision form.

2. To obtain the code which contains your image URL(s), follow these steps:

1. Click the Image Hosting tab.
2. Check the box next to the image(s) that you wish to select.
3. On the bottom of the page, click the "Attach" button.
4. Choose "Other Auction Site (generate HTML)", select New Auction, and click "Continue"
5. On the next page, copy and paste the entire block of HTML (which includes your image URL) into the description box of the auction listing form.

If you wish to use only the image URL, it/they will be embedded in the HTML code generated by our system. If you do not have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, the image url will look like this:

http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

If you have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, you will need to alter the ".mids" URL to create the correct image URL. To do this, just remove the /.mids portion of the URL. Here is an example:

Before:

http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/.mids/yourimagefilename.jpg

After:

http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

The "after" URL can be used in any auction and can be altered to point to any image in your list simply by changing the image filename portion - just be sure that the filename *exactly* matches the filename on our site (case-sensitive.)
