I just edited a picture's brightness/lighting to reflect a more true image on an auction .... now when i go to that auction and do a 'hard' refresh [cntrl-shift], that particular image says 'unavailable try back later' .... why is that? .... thanks ...

Hello,

If you deleted it and uploaded it again, you have to give it the exact same filename as it had before, or it wont appear.

Upload the image again, but be certain the filename matches the original exactly. If you run into trouble still, let us know the name of the image in image hosting and the item number you are working on.

augh.... i see it's because the 'JPG' needs to be renamed in my auctionwatch image hosting to have jpg [not capitalized] ? [or vice-versa?]... help!, how can i rename it? auction number 2153329794 ... picture name febs99.jpg ... i even tried deleting the picture out of AW, then reupload, but my computer makes it a small jpg for ONLY this picture... [i.e., any fresh pic i upload gets named .JPG] ...

Hello,

If you try the Save As New image and saved it with the same name and overrided the one with the lower case jpg, does that force it to become upper case JPG? My computer is formatted to save images as lower case jpg so I am not able to save it as you originally uploaded it.

Regards,

Sonya

"If you try the Save As New image and saved it with the same name and overrided the one with the lower case jpg, does that force it to become upper case JPG?" ,,, yeah Sonya,... i think so. I don't know why it's doing this, and i cannot figure out how to change it.

isn't there some kind of command i can do in windows xp home edition to 'show file extensions'? ... and then maybe it would let me rename in offline? ... sigh> ... i could just scrap the auction and start over i guess. ... i'm still thinkin' on it. lol

Hello,

So are you able to save it with the upper case JPG? If you are, let me know and I will email you and have you send me the image. Then I can upload it to your account from here.

Regards,

Sonya

Under 'My Computer' - Tools - Folder Options - View - i was able to 'turn off' a checkmarked box that says 'hide file extensions of known type', and then when i went to the folder where my pictures were, all of the file extensions showed [which they usually didn't] ... i did the right click/rename and changed the case sensitive jpg extension ... [then deleted that pic in my AW,] and then reuploaded the pic and it worked! .... the picture seems to be showing in the auction now! ... I will go take some Advil now ... and you go have soda pop, on me. ...
