OK - I launched some auctions last night with the AW checkout enabled and then the scrolling checkout box to appear.

I went to those auctions today to see what it looked like and it is horrid!!!!! The auctions are active but this stupid checkout box keeps appearing. As you scroll down to read the auction this dumb checkout box follows you and you can't even read the text.

I was under the assumption this box would not appear until the auction ended. What good is it while the auction is active.

If I were a buyer I would click out of an auction like that so fast -

I need to fix these auctions right away - I can't have that stupid box covering my auctions - and now my pending auctions to list tonight will have that stupid box on them also.

Please let me know - is this how it is supposed to work - or is there a flaw - and what do I need to adjust in my active auctions to get that box out of there!!!!

If this is how this box is supposed to work - it is the most god awful change you have ever done!!

OK I just went and reread what you have about the checkout - and it says it will only appear after the auction closes?

Something is not working - tell me how to fix this ASAP!!!

Hello,

The popup window to actually checkout your buyers will appear at the end of the auction. You will however see a little grey checkout button in the listing itself even while active.

Christopher - Will you take a look at one of my auctions that listed last night - email me if you need a number.

Yes, the little grey box is there - but the BRIGHT YELLOW PREFERRED box floats across the right side of my listing - blocking my text.

Please look at this - ruins the auction!!

I even went and cleared my cache - etc. and that stupid yellow checkout box still shows up and scrolls thru the active auction. AND I went in on a different computer and looked at the auctions and it is still there - so is not something on my computer.

Hello,

Your right, it should not be showing up yet. I double checked, and it doesnt appear to be happening to others currently, so I cannot say why this is effecting you.

We have notified engineering and they are checking into this issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. This is happening on your items because they are fixed price. The checkout button will not work until the buyer has actually used the BIN option, but the checkout button already appears.

For now, if you would prefer not to have it appear in your fixed price listings this way, uncheck the box to use the AW checkout in the listing form itself, when doing fixed price listings.

We are evaluating other options for fixed price items and the checkout button.

Just looked at one of my Active Auctions that I launched with the Checkout button.

I clicked on the Checkout button at the bottom right of the listing and it asks for the buyer's email address to verify.

Is this what it is supposed to do? The aucton is still active - what will it verify?

Just thinking a nice note to the "potential winning bidder" to return when the auction has ended and use the Checkout would be much better on an active auction.

Thanks

Okay, I ignored the "wet paint" sign and touched it again... so to speak.

I entered my email address and then it gave a pretty courteous message stating the auction was still open.

Still seems backwards to me for some reason.

Hello,
I am having trouble with the new AW checkout button. I do not wish to use it. Yet, it`s wants to keep re-checking itself. When I am editing from my inventories, I find I un-check it over & over,it magically re-checked again! So, I`m spending alot of time & mental energy, un- checking it over & over again. It`s not fair that I have to kept 'double-checking' what I thought I did already. So, now I have 3 active high ticket auctions which accidentally have the checkout button. Any thoughts out there?
Thanks, Deborah

Hi Deborah,

When you deselect checkout, do you save your changes? It would only reappear if you don't save.

Jewljack -- can you give me one of your item ID numbers where the checkout is stretching out your auction?

Sonya

Hi Jewljack,

Actually, I was recently informed that there is a problem that is resulting in the checkout getting shifted to the right. Engineering is currently working on a fix, so you don't have to provide me with an example if you don't want to -- I'll let you know when it's been fixed.

Sonya

I listed a "fixed price" auction a few days ago and the yellow checkout panel is not showing in my auction as was stated earlier that it is supposed to be by ChristopherAW.

Has this been changed so that it doesn't show on fixed price auctions now. I'd prefer it not be there all the time, but will it show up at some point to the buyer?
My auction has a quantity of 8 for the item, so will the checkout panel not show until all items are purchased with BIN now or what?
Or is only the checkout button available in fixed price auctions now?

Just curious what is up with this and if it has been changed in any way.

Hello,

The grey checkout button should appear within your listing, at all times. Unfortunately the panel no longer appears for fixed price multiple listings (it will show up for fixed price, single quantity listings). Customers will have to check out using the checkout button within the listing.

Regards,

Sonya
