I have items currently on auction that I know are getting hits but the images in Image Manager were showing the last viewed date was in April or earlier, and some of them had the WARNING: image could be deleted soon! even though they are currently in active auctions with looks and bids.
I was able to update the viewed date by clicking on them in Image Manager. Just thought you'd like to know there might be some glitch happening here.

This auction 2636036745. I finally got around to using these images. It is an active auction, with hits on the counter, but the last viewed dates on the images are March 21st and March 9th.
This auction is a relist 2636230099, but Image Manager says the last viewed date is April 27th for all the images.
It's actually that way for all the current auctions, but some of them will have today's date either because I clicked on the images so they wouldn't get deleted (LOL! Wouldn't that be fun ) or I just took and uploaded the pics and they would have today's date.
You can check the counters and see they have had looks since they were launched May 20th or May 21st.
