Anyone from Vendio: As I try to create auctions in Sales Manager, the "Books" catagory is simply absent from the drop down menu of catagory selections. ??
Ebay had a category change earlier this week and moved it to under the Entertainment top category. However, according to an announcement on their site, this is going to be changed. Here is a copy of it for your convenience:
***Books Category Changes***
On June 11, eBay rolled out the Entertainment Marketplace to the Community to make buying and selling more efficient in the Books, DVDs & Movies, Entertainment Memorabilia, Music and Video Game categories. We appreciate the feedback you have given us, and apologize for any concern you have had because of these changes.
We have heard your comments and now have a better understanding of your perspective about why the Books Category does not belong under "Entertainment" at this time. Over the next few days, books will be returned to its former place on the Homepage as a separate link. In the future, we will do a better job of working with you in advance of changes of this nature.
Please look for us to be more active than ever in soliciting your ideas on ways to improve trading on eBay. We plan to work closely with you in the future to improve:
1) The ability of books buyers to browse and find the books they want on eBay.
2) The overall selling experience in books.
Again, we appreciate your continued support and your suggestions about how we can improve your trading eBay.

Possibly... but I tend to agree more with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy. BUT... if it is broke, fix it immediately... don't put it on a list to be forgotten with time.
