I just went into Ebay to extend the ending date on an auction (3425351830) and noticed that my pictures (all but 1) were missing. At the bottom of the auction is 3 boxes saying "Sorry this picture is currently unavailable please check back later." I verified they were there prior to launching the auction from inventory and everything was fine. I haven’t deleted any pictures lately but they are missing from my picture inventory too. If I retake the pictures and add them to the auction it will cost me more to do that then relaunch the auction right?
When you say you verified that they were there prior to launching, did you check them just in inventory or did you go look in image hosting to see if they were there? Were the images there after the auction launched?

now that you ask, maybe i did just verify in inventory, but I could swear i saw them after the auction was running. Would i be able to see them in inventory if they were already deleted from imaging hosting? At any rate i guess I'll have to add new ones, i'll be charged 10 cents a picture correct?
You'd be able to see them in inventory. It would still show you had a certain number of images checked -- if they had been deleted out of Image Hosting it would be a miniature 'picture not available' logo.
If you upload images with the same names as those that are currently in your listing as 'unavailable', you will not be charged.

Now this is soooooooo wierd, I just uploaded them again, then went back to Ebay to get the auction # to add them to the auction, but when i went back to ebay they were there again! Did they automatically get added when i uploaded them again?

That is what I was trying to explain -- if you upload them again, provided they have the same image name, they will appear right in your auction again. You don't have to add them to the auction again.
I hope I haven't confused you -- as long as you upload them again, they'll replace the 'image unavailable' gif.
