1st ERROR Message Read: JAVASCRIPT NOT ACCEPTED
Reviewed item and hit launch now.
2nd ERROR MESSAGE: INTERNAL ERROR
I have not added anything to my auctions to make it a JAVA SCRIPT ERROR.
I have relisted the item for 8PM tonite. Hopefully it might list.
Really want to know what is going on at VD that the Auction is not listing.

I also have 4 auctions that I cannot launch. Please look at the ones in my pending file. These are relists. I only changed the beginning bids and buy-it-now price. All 4 are in the media-type catagory. I couldn't check "never used" because they were used. Did eBay change something in the past week? I launched another video tonight with no problem. Please let me know what's wrong. The following were the error messages received:

Error 5028: Invalid Value. (10244)
Value given for "Condition" is invalid.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters (in some cases you should limit text to 15 characters.)
Error 5028: Invalid Value. (22563)
Value given for "Compilation" is invalid.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters (in some cases you should limit text to 15 characters.)

I have tried numerous times to relist this Cameo. The last message I received from VD is that the Template is invalid.
Still receiving the JAVASCRIPT ERROR message from the Ebay site.
I know that VD has posted an announcement tht all problems are resolved, but apparently they are not.

Hello Toyspast,

These auctions erroring out -- are they all relists or brand new items? eBay changed some attributes recently for some categories.

Shadowwand -- I am looking into your problem right now, and will post back to you shortly.

Sonya

Sonya:

These were all re-lists. Did they seperate the catagory for used versus new for cd's and videos?

This is a New Listing. I do not relist unsold items. I have tried redoing the Category selection, in case Ebay changed the catagory number. Reworded the title. The error message says that there is Javascript in my Title, Descriptiong, Catagory or Post Sale Instructions. I have not added any type of Javascript.
I firmly believe it is something to do with VD and Ebay adding something new.
Truly appreciate any help with this matter.

Hello shadowwand,

Ok, we tracked down your bad "javascript" for this item. eBays automatic system to detect it is just being confused by the following line : "the pin clasp will not open(I have not forced it)"

You need to put a space after the word open and before the bracket, or eBay sees it as JavaScript apparently. Put in the space and you can resubmit this item without running into an error message.

toyspast - We are currently looking into the problem you have outlined. It appears to be related to the fact that eBay has added the NWT attribute to some categories that did not have this attribute previously. We hope to have this fixed shortly and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Unfortunately, this means that the items you need to relist here will have to be relisted via eBay directly, while we work with them on this issue. Once relisted, you can use our import tool to bring them back into your account. Use the 'import my listings' link at the top of the Sales Manager tab.

Regards,
Christopher

Christopher,
Thank you very much for the assistance with this problem. Had me stumped on what the Javascript problem was. Will try to list with the information you gave me.

Hi, I'm joining you in this problem. I have tried to relist a pair of LEI shorts since last night and am getting the error in the item specific field. These shorts are not new with tag. I have tried to eliminate filling in anything in item specific, tried with one item. I did notice when the size field came down, the nwt box opened up.It won't go away...
error specific:Error 5028: Invalid Value. (94)
Value given for "New With Tags" is invalid.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered
thanks
Sylvia
I have done the relist by ebay, but will leave the pending with the error if you wish to review it.

I too am having problems with relists...all DVD or VHS tapes. Any idea when this might be fixed? They relists are piling up here and I'll be suffering a week down the line when no auctions are closing...thanks, Charlene

I tried relisting a Bra last night, ERRORED out x's 2. I do not know what to change in my listing to get it to relist for me on Ebay. Says it is "INVALID FIELDS" related to catagory. I had listed it previously in the same catagory fields without any problems.

Hello,

Here is a copy of the announcement posted on the issue:

As previously announced, we recently assisted eBay's discovery of an error in their software that may cause some sellers to experience listing or relisting errors when Item Specifics (also known as "attributes" ) are not specified even in categories in which attributes are not required.

eBay recently provided the following additional details:
1. A code revision to correct this situation will occur by Wednesday night (8/27)
2. These errors are only being experienced on items originally listed before Tuesday (8/19) and relisted after that date, which also have no Item Specifics values specified.

If you have items you originally listed prior to 8/19 that you want to relist, you may take one of two actions:

1. Specify Item Specifics on each item to avoid or clear this listing error.
2. Wait to relist these items until eBay makes their code changes on Wednesday night. We will let you know when this change has occurred.

Regards,

Sonya

I have tried taking out items specifics, adding them back the trying to relist, relisting without item specifics, and I cannot get ANY of my relists to launch. Will this be fixed with the software update tomorrow? This has put a huge crimp in my relistings, as I have between 80-100 going at a time. Thanks.
