My question has disappeared - GONE! I asked it over the weekend, and now I can't find it, so I'm asking again. Is there anyway to make Vendio a "secure" site, so half my customers don't get scared away when they go to check out? Now that I don't get a paypal button, this is going to happen more often. Here's part of an email I just got:
"Send me total and a paypal name to pay I will not use your checkout since it says it is a unsecure site and etc. Thanks Bruce"
This happened twice in one night over the weekend, and it's happened periodically in the past. Now that there's no paypal button, that will drive more people thru my Vendio check-out (whether they want to or not), I assume will happen more frequently. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION. Please address it right away.

Now I've got buyers with the problem as well. Some know their browser settings are set with very high security and can't access it at all and others get scared off by the "unsecure" message they're getting. Thanks...
The checkout is secure. If your customer is clicking the checkout button from your listing -- that page is not secure, but it's only the page where the winner enters in his email address. When he continues on to the checkout, he'll be on a secure page (you can see this because in the address bar, there will be an https which designates a site is secure).
Are your customers using the checkout button or the WBN?

Hi, Sonya:
They are getting the message when they click on the check-out button. They are not going to know that when they enter into the next site that it will be secure, because it doesn't tell them that (and most people don't look at the "s" in the http address). All they know is they are getting a pop-up message that says "Warning! You are entering an unsecure site." That needs to be elimiated, especially now that I have to drive more people thru my check-out. I have added a message that trys to reassure them in the yellow highlighted area, but I would like that message to disappear all together, if possible.
