I recently changed my email address and have updated it where it's needed. I found out a couple days after that I also needed to change it in my preferences so that the PayNow buttons for PayPal would have the correct email showing. I then changed that but I noticed that I was receiving PayPal payments when I looked at My eBay page...it says they are "pending". I didn't receive any email notification about these "pending" payments and they don't show up in my PayPal account (they are basically floating around in cyberspace unclaimed...I have to email all those buyers that made the payment with those buttons and have them cancel and make a new payment). I called PayPal and they said that any auction I CREATED with the old email will still have that old email attached to the PayNow buttons. My question is will my pending auctions or relists have that old email attached even though it's changed in my preferences? If so, what can I do to update?

Hi Idnyc,
I reviewed your Global Preferences and your Custom Listing Text. It looks like you've got the right email address there -- it's the same one as your primary email address for Vendio, correct? Your pending listings and your relists will launch with that information. If you coded references to PayPal that contain the old address within your individual item descriptions, you'll need to change those. The ones that I checked appear to be fine so if you run into any problems with future payments, please let us know.

idnyc, I just chnged mine too. It seemed such a simple process at first and turned into a real "journey of discovery". Just changing the email on your account is not enough. There are two places to change your email at vendio, once for your vendio account and once for the post auction payment prefrences. At ebay there is the one they show you PLUS manually revising every open auction. Every live auction must be manually changed and if you have a closed auction or one with a bid, you have to email the winner and make sure that they do NOT use the pay now button on the ebay site, because it will go to the old email. I just wish that ebay had mentioned the need for all these individual changes when the email was changed. Would have save a lot of hassle for me and my customers! If I had not called them, I would still be trying to figure what went wrong.
Actually Paypal was the only site where it only took one change.
On the up side, once you do all this out, the relists do go through with correct info!
At least next time we move, it will be easier! Or maybe I'll be lucky and get to keep the same email addy! <g>
