So..I create a new ebay listing, then I preview the photos. When I go back to the auction, the photos have disappered and I have to reload them. In addition, I end up with "extra" auctions every tme I have to reload. So, I have to go delete those. Why is this happening? This only began recently. I use a Dell and have never had this problem before. Also, the order in which my photos are listed in image hosting has changed. I have two alphabetical lists, and within those two lists, there are different orders also. Whats going on? It's a #*!@ to try and find my photos. DON'T BLAME MY COMPUTER!

Hi Troyjanna,

When you say you preview your photos, how are you previewing them -- are you using the Template Preview or one of the other previews?

Regarding image sort -- we will soon be releasing several new image hosting features, including watermarking, zoom viewing functionality, and an undelete feature. We are in the process of making some changes that will help accommodate these new features. The image sort order in image hosting and on the create listing pulldown menu has changed. Image sorting is now case-sensitive, and follows the format of numerical filenames first, followed by upper-case filenames, with lower-case filenames last in the list.

This new method will allow substantially more flexibility and control over managing your image list. We look forward to releasing the new image hosting functionality shortly.

Regards,

Sonya

YES! -- Something MAJOR is messed up in photo manage function - photos won't attach and stay attached - They disappear... when you do either preview button or when you save the page.

Maybe it will work next week?

or next month?

Thank you Vendio for the new quick image attach/delete feature, even though it was short lived.

Today's images are not attaching but once Vendio smooths out the edges I shall jump for joy.

Meanwhile, I'm taking a break. Heading outdoors to pick squash and clean out the garden and flower beds for winter.

Hello there,

It appears that there are certain browsers that will not support the new attach method, so for these particular browsers we have reverted to the original method. These include:

WebTV
Opera
Netscape 7.0x
IE for Mac

We are still receiving complaints from Compuserve 2000 and Netscape 6.0x users, so most likely we will revert these browsers to the old method as well. If you want to take advantage of the new image attach method, we recommend upgrading your browser or using one that is compatible with this system.

Thanks,

Diana

THE PREVIEW I'M USING IS JUST THE ONE ON THE AUCTION PAGE, WHEN I AM CREATING A LISTING. WHERE IT SAYS PREVIEW AND YOU CAN LOOK AT YOUR PHOTOS AND THEN GO BACK TO THE AUCTION PAGE. WHEN I GO BACK, THE PHOTOS ARE GONE! HOW CAN I GET THEM TO NOT DISAPPEAR? I AM USING THE BACK ARROW, SHOULD I USE ANOTHER METHOD TO GET BACK TO THE PAGE?

The "manage images" works fine for 4 years - w/ no problems - Now it's getting improved and it doesn't work anymore -- ya gotta see the humor

Is management on vacation?

Hi Troyjanna,

There is more than one preview on the Create Listing page. Is this the page you are on? What is the name of the preview you are using? I do not mean to be redundant but I am still not sure which preview you are actually using.

Hi Lofsness,

There are some web browsers that are not compatible with the latest web technology. Unfortunately it looks like CS is one of those but as stated, we will most likely change it back to the old method so that your service is no longer disrupted.

Sonya

It's not working for me. This stinks. Who cares if the images attach faster if they don't show up in the listing. You need to scratch this new improvement before you lose all your customers. I've always been pleased with this service, but after tonight-not so much. I'm going to have to end all my listings and relist them. I don't want my images at the bottom. All that time-for nothing. Thanks a bunch!

Hello susan1232,

I double checked your listings just a moment ago, and while they do not show as being revised, all of the images appear to be loading properly.

Are you now able to see them as well?

Christopher

You see the images now because I closed every one of them and relisted.
What I want to know is, are you all going to fix this problem? I know what happened. I had the nerve to want to see my auctions before I launched them! Not realizing that the images went poof every time I did that. Can we just go back to the old attach image? You know, if it ain't broke-don't fix it.

Hi Susan1232,

Are you saving after you add the images? Which previews are you doing -- template preview, quick preview, eBay preview?

Sonya

Thanks to everyone who helped me. I was using the quick preview to look at my auction photos, then using the back arrow to go back, like I always did before. But, something changed with Vendio, and the photos wereren'ton the auction page any more. However, if you use the "previous" page selection at the bottom of the preview, the photos will not disappear. Try it, it worked for me.

Then why not just disable the "back" button if it's causing the images to disappear?

My problem is with using the eBay preview: when I do, and if I see something I need to fix and then go back, the images are gone.

Even though the images do come up at lightening speed, this seems like a silly glitch and should be fixed. I've used Vendio for years, and I really like it, but having to adapt to programming quirks gets to be a pain in the behind.

You guys really can't fix this? You didn't notice it when you were field testing the improvements before you launched them?

.... you did field test them, didn't you? I'm sure there are several of us who would gladly run a beta site through its paces before you just launch stuff full-bore.

My 2 cents.

Hello,

Any releases we make, we test. We recommend you use the blue 'Return' button at the bottom of the Quick Preview. Generally, it is not good to use the Back arrow button on your browser as that can result in missing images. Using the 'Return' button, even if you don't save before previewing, will return to the listing page with the additions you made.

Regards,

Sonya
