This is the error I keep getting.. I went into ebay and did as instructed, and I am still getting errors when I try to launch..
Error 11012: PayPal payment method not selected, yet the offer PayPal on all listings preference is set.
Unfortunately, eBay automatically changed your payment settings to include PayPal on all your listings as part their acquisition of PayPal. To clear this error, you need to change your settings at eBay by going to MyeBay, clicking the Preferences tab, and selecting 'Update payment preferences' under Seller Preferences. In the section labeled PayPal Preference, remove the check in the selection box next to "Offer PayPal on all my listings." When you resubmit your listing, PayPal will be listed as a Payment Preference in your listings, since you have already set this preference at Vendio. Contact us if you have any further questions.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters (in some cases you should limit text to 15 characters.)
Recently, Paypal announced changes to their ALI (Automatic Logo Insertion) system, which previously inserted the Paypal "smart" logo into your listings automatically. ALI was essentially discontinued at PayPal, and an eBay preference took its place. PayPal exempted most Vendio users from this automatic change to prevent listing errors. Unfortunately, some accounts were missed, and it appears that your account and some others were converted to this new preference at eBay. This is what caused your listings to fail since the preference they set is now in conflict with the PayPal settings you have at Vendio.
You are able to eliminate the errors by doing one of the following things:
1. If you do not want eBay Checkout or a PayNow button at the top of your closed listings:
Log into your eBay account and go to your My eBay page. Click on the Preferences link found on this page, then on the 'Update payment preferences' link on that page.
From here, uncheck the box labeled 'Offer PayPal on all my listings' in your PayPal preferences, but leave the box labeled 'Tell my buyers that I prefer PayPal payments' checked. Click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page when finished.
Note: This option will not display PayPal in the eBay specific payment options, but Vendio will both list PayPal as well as provide the logo within your listings automatically. You will also still be eligible for the 1.5% PayPal cash back and any other benefits associated with "PayPal Preferred."
2. If you want a PayNow button at the top of your closed listings:
Log into your Vendio account, click on the My Account tab, then on the Global Preferences link. Under your stored PayPal ID, check the box labeled 'Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo in my listing' - then scroll to the bottom of the page and click to save the change.
Note: This option may discourage buyers from completing Vendio Checkout and may result in payments not being recorded in your post-sale system since these options will enable the Pay Now button at eBay when the listing ends.
