I know this is on the Christmas wish list, but I want to address it all by itself.

Come January, I have to decide whether to use Vendio or to stay with CA. I cannot afford to continue to use both.

Vendio costs a lot more than CA but is easier to use and I love the templates. So, that puts you on the winning side, even with the higher costs. CA lets me schedule auctions 6 months in advance, and never deletes images. But, they limit image space so again, you come out ahead.

What I cannot adapt to is the checkout link on the WBN. I don't want to and never ever will use checkout! Simple as that. I like my own communications with my customers and I have been doing this since day one back in 1998.

We should have the right to make a WBN that says what we want it to say. I see I am not alone and do not understand why this is a mandatory link? Others do not want it either.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make it optional. Otherwise, I will have to use the other service and I much prefer yours.

Now, I import all of your listings to CA and then use CA after sale management because of the ease in sending emails that say whatever (and only) what I want them to say. The time I save in listing through you is taken up in adding shipping to invoices in CA so I am losing both ways and have to go one way or the other soon.

I will not leave Vendio but i second this , i also dont like to see this stupid checkout that may be 10% replay !!! so our job is double , but again as i say before Vendio have a personal reason to do it and it have nothing to do with us.

They may have a personal reason for doing it, but when I stand to pay them triple what I am paying now, I think their reasons should not interfere with my way of conducting my business!

I have accepted that no site will meet all my needs, but I can't understand some (this one and auction works being the main ones) absolutely insisting on attempting to force checkout on all of us.

I passed on AW for that reason and will, begrudgingly, have to pass on this one as well. Unless, I can manage to figure out auctionsage and their email system. If so I might be able to mix these two.

I really like Vendio.

I don't know if this will help you lindajean, but here's my work around for the WBN/checkout link problem.

I use the Feedback Reminder notification email option as my WBN. I replaced the feedback reminder with my email WBN template that includes almost everything except the final total.

AW dosen't have a email symbol for the total of the final bid and shipping, so that's what's missing from the email.

For each auction I go to the fullfillment checklist and click on the edit icon for feedback recieved and insert the total, then click send.

I really want to be able to automatically send out my "personal" email WBN with all the basic facts including the final total, but NO checkout link.

It would save me so much time to be able to use the automatic sendout feature and not have to add the total to each email.

Hello,

The checkout link is a part of the WBN process and is inserted automatically. However, I will forward your feedback and suggestions to Product Development.

Regards,

Sonya

greatlakes: Thanks for the tip. I'll see what I can do. I don't know though since I sometimes have over 50 auctions ending on one night. Of course, they don't all have bids, but I can hope that will improve and try to be ready Doing the add-on manually would be difficult.

I might try Paypals WBN again since I don't get a lot of bidders buying multiple items. Or, I might even try Ebays invoice by itself.

I just know the checkout link won't work for me. And, it is not a part of the WBN process for many of us. In fact, I refuse to bid on any items that require checkout myself and I buy several items a week.

I'd also like to stress how necesssary it is that Vendio get with the program and develop an automated WBN WITHOUT checkout link!! Now that eBay's checkout works so well, there is no reason to make buyers go through hoops to complete a purchase!

Linda - I used to use the PP WBN but lately have had the feeling that those are not being delivered in a timely manner. I now use the ebay "send invoice" option and "personalize" by putting a message in the spot where the payment instructions from the listing are restated. I find that the invoice covers all the bases of payment instruction so I just say thanks for your purchase etc etc in that spot. I copy the first one I prepare and then paste it in all the others. It really only takes a few minutes (I would rather have it automated but this is second best) to do all my auctions. Last night I had 38 to do and it took all of about 1o minutes.

Thanks Neglus: I did that with mine that ended today. You are right, it is quick and I think the bidders like the paynow being so easily available. Almost all paid immediately with Paypal
