I hope this post doesn`t get me kicked off Vendio. As a 5 year AuctionWatch/Vendio user, I am wondering why, as a Webtv user, customer service is not extended to my needs. Vendio actively supports billing me each month, but if I, or any Webtv user, needs help, Vendio customer service gives a canned response; "We do not actively support the Webtv platform" What does that mean? Just because I`m not a PC or Mac user, do I have any less rights? I personally enjoy my Webtv, using a 35 in. TV for a monitor, wireless keyboard, my feet kicked up, not getting carpal tunnel hunched over a wired keyboard squinting at at tiny monitor. I have never had my system crash, have never lost data, have never had any of the problems my PC friends have had with their systems. Webtv is foolproof for selling on eBay, if you keep up with the other system changes, and keep clearing cookies off the system. I have been monitoring this posting area trying to help other Webtv users, but Vendio won`t even direct them to posts that will answer their questions. All I really want to know is am I any less of a customer because I use a different format to the Internet? I get the feeling that either Vendio does not understand Webtv, or there is some legal issue that is never stated. Now don`t get mad at me for stating the obvious, Darin or Sonya, you know it`s true, all I really want is a straight answer and maybe a little compassion. Thanks for letting me vent, Mike
The problem is that WebTV does not support a lot of features that regular browsers do. We do our best to support those customers who operate on WebTV boxes but unfortunately, there is not much that we can do if your service does not provide JavaScript. A WebTV browser is pretty much equivalent to Internet Explorer 4.0, most technology today supports Internet Explorer 5.0 and up. You may want to consider contacting support for WebTV to see when they plan to support the latest browser technology. If you let us know what your issue is now, we will do our best to help you resolve it.
