Today, I click on a bidder's completed checkout and find a note in the comments that reads "please send me your payment address and shipping information".

Yesterday, I get an email from a bidder who asks the same thing. He had already completed the checkout and I had it with his item waiting on payment. I replied that the info was all there on the checkout. He pops back in all capitals "ONCE AGAIN, I NEED THE TOTAL AND YOUR ADDRESS" So I replied as politely as I could that it was all there on his checkout page and attached an HTML copy of it to the email.

Almost every day I have some dim bulb who completes the checkout and then asks for the info again.

Am I missing something here, or what?

In Vendio Checkout:

I think they have to enter the comments before they hit the button that shows them the address.

So, when the checkout asks for comments, they think they do not have your address and need to ask for it.

They may be the smarter people than those who do not ask.

Most people after putting in that note, will click to the next page and see the address and it is not needed to be sent separately.

Someone told they should have seen the total and address in the checkout, and are dumb for asking, are probably insulted because at the time they asked for it was not available to them, and that was their only time to put in a note to ask for it.

I have found it much easier to build a "canned response" giving them my address, and if needed the total for the order, than to try and fight with them about the fact they should already have it.

It is really not their fault for asking, and if they need it , it is in your best interest to get it to them.

my 2 cents.

Thanks for your two-cents worth. I guess I was indeed missing that point. I've bought from other who use Vendio and found the checkout easy to use, and self-explanatory, so I could't understand why almost every day there is a bidder who can't seem to navigate it.

I'll practice more patience for the groundlings.

So now, three days later, the guy emails and has changed his mind about sending a money order and says to charge it to his credit card, and he gives me the credit card number in the email=:0 I sent him a PayPal request for payment.

I doubt if he has a clue about how dangerous it is to send his credit card number in an email.

He's a zero feedback newbie too. Aren't they usually the ones that suck up a lot of time? The old 80/20 rule in action.
