I converted from SpareDollar to Vendio last night and I must say that Vendio is quite a bit more powerful than I am used to. That's a good thing though. However, I have a few questions that I am hoping someone here can help me to understand a bit better. They all relate to global preferences, since I am attempting to set up my account.
1) At the top of the page, there is a section entitled Shipping and Insurance where I clicked the checkbox and chose FedEx Ground. However to the right there is a box where a monetary amount can be entered. What is that for?
2) In regards to the Custom Shipping and Handling Note, and even the Custom Payment Note further down the page, what might those be used for? They seem very similar to the payment and shipping terms I put into the system when first signing up. It was limited to 500 characters.
3) Towards the bottom, there is a section entitled Displaying Shipping and Handling Options and Note in Listing. How is that any different to what I just asked in the question above?
I suppose if anyone had examples to provide that would be greatly appreciated, so that I could see the item in use. I am glad to be here at Vendio, and I plan on being here for a long time.
1. If you had a global shipping amount you used all the time, you could enter it here. If you sell a variety of items, just leave it as zero so you change it when you list.
2. The Custom Shipping and handling note will appear after the auction has closed in the checkout process. The Custom payment note will actually appear in the listing itself.
3. Checking this box will make Vendio display your shipping carrier and amounts in your listings automatically. Some sellers prefer to enter this information on their own in the description area, so we make it optional to have us do it for you.

That answer was extremely helpful. Thank you very much. This auction manager is so powerful that I have to seatbelt myself into the chair evertime I sit in front of the computer.
