Vendio is having a problem with the shipping amount when they are sending auctions to eBay. I have had Paypal payments coming into me that are saying:

Shipping & Handling: $8.00 USD
Shipping Insurance: (not offered) : --
Sales Tax : $0.00 USD

Total: $XX>XX

I do offer insurance. Some of the payments have gone through ok:

Shipping & Handling: $8.00 USD

Insurance: $0.00 USD

Sales Tax:

Total: $XX>XX USD

I have emailed my Paypal rep. who looked into it with a tech. guy. They told me that the shipping option is not being filled out, so that is why I am getting the not offered problem (my auction still show the $8 I charge for shipping though). They said when the info for the auction reaches eBay from Vendio, that portion is missing.

Please help me on this, as I want my customers to have the option of insurance. Thank you.

Hello,

Are your customers paying you directly in PayPal, or through eBay somehow? In your Vendio account, you have the PayPal checkout turned off and $8.00 shipping filled in for Vendio Checkout. If your customers were to go through Vendio checkout, they would get the invoice with the proper shipping and then when they go to pay through the Pay Now button for PayPal at the end of the listing, they'll get the correct amount plus shipping. I also checked your settings and you do have insurance turned on for Vendio checkout.

What is the item number for the example that you and the PayPal tech looked at?

Here are a few examples of the item numbers:

4141971166, 4143630853, 4142205617 and we have had many more.

The rep. said the tech. guy went into the Ebay items and looked at them.
They said the problem that was occuring with Paypal was that no shipping
amount was shown/listed (I beleive they said it would be page 4 on an eBay
listing).

All of my items have an automatic $8 shipping (unless I change the amount),
and we do accept insurance. Thank you.

Something is going wrong and we have not changed anything on any accounts.

Hello,

That answer from the PayPal tech is to be expected, since you have your account set up so that you do not take PayPal's checkout -- you take Vendio checkout. You have the shipping set up properly for those listings that you referenced me to. The first one was already paid for, and it looks like your customer went directly to PayPal to make the payment for the item -- input the proper shipping but didn't include insurance -- and sent the payment to you.

Are the problems you are having with this all from customers who are paying you directly in PayPal? What I would suggest is that you include in your auction listings that you offer insurance and that customers will be able to select it when completing Vendio Checkout. This will hopefully stop customers from making payments to you directly through PayPal's Send Money tab.
